I originally grew up in Walnut Hills, and this is where my family’s legacy is rooted. I’ll share a little history tidbit.

It’s funny that The Fix has relocated and is now occupying the former Satisfy’n Place on McMillan. Back in the day, Satisfy’n Place was a dive bar that stayed open for many, many years. I could see it from my window where we lived on McMillan, and the music and everything happening outside kept me entertained.

My father used to frequent the establishment many nights and would walk home afterward, usually full of spirits and whatever else they were serving. It was a different time back then, and I was seeing it all through a child’s eyes.

Who would have known that years later this place would come full circle in my life? Now my teenage daughter loves hanging out at The Fix on Woodburn after school to get her matcha.

Everything really does come full circle.

They have wonderful baristas, delicious bakery items and sandwiches, and it also functions as a bar, so they serve alcohol as well. There’s a really cool vibe that you just have to experience to understand.

Walnut Hills holds so many memories for me, and it’s beautiful to see the neighborhood continuing to evolve while still holding pieces of the past. To watch my daughter create her own memories in the same community where my childhood stories began is something really special.

Lovely local coffee shop, I’m a long time customer. It was very busy today and the staff went out of their way to bus orders out to seated customers which I never expect from a coffee shop (please don’t ask them to do this!). Not only that, there was a random individual who was shouting and kicking and throwing outside the shop today and the staff handled it well. Ask who did their windows because those are some quality durable windows! I love the space they’ve created and want to let them know that.

The best coffeeshop near UC. The kindest baristas and the most chill environment. They also make the best cold foam I've ever had. Plus, their drinks are phenomenal and super affordable. This place is so good I want to gatekeep it so badly, but they deserve all the recognition.

Warm and cozy coffee shop perfect for homework or meeting with a friend. The workers are always very friendly and make you feel welcomed.

Everything is delicious and priced well, and you will never regret your order, even if you’re on the picky side of coffee.

I stopped in today and got an Americano and it is very good! The staff was friendly and kind. The place was clean and beautiful. I will definitely be back!!!

Really cute and earthy vibes on the inside. The workers were kind and the coffee was good. I’m not a coffee expert so I can’t comment much on that, but the food was really good. I got a caprese sandwich thing and it was so good. Sense like it was made fresh too. Pricing was also really good.

The espresso was definitely burnt, but damn if that’s not the best croissant I’ve ever had. I’m torn!

Edit: Also, they use Monin syrups if that’s something you care about.

I havnt tried the food but it looks tasty BUT NO a few weeks ago I was desperate for a coffee. I had worked all day before got 3 hours of sleep then had to get my toddler 😭😭 I went to three coffee shops before this one and walked out cuz they just weren’t confident enough for the day I was having lol. The Brew Eye coffee they made was so good I almost cried. A lot of coffee shops cold brew is watered down or just doesn’t taste right and here it’s so freaking tasty. Today a new day, as I’m sipping on my cold brew with honey cinnamon and oat milk, I am once again very satisfied. The staff is kind and welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The coffee is tasty, the food looks like good portions, the dining area is relaxing, IM PRETTY SURE I SAW AN OUTSIDE PATIO TODAY. Just overall one of my new favorite coffee shops. Definitely recommend
