Was looking forward to the beer braised tofu sandwich but the other tofu hoagie was good too. Maybe next time Greatbupbeat place to dine.

I appreciate the care put into a simple burger special, very well put together and tasty. The service was polite and upbeat, and the atmosphere was a mix of 50’s diner meets contemporary Northside. My uniquely favorite part was the dialogue between employees was supportive and excited about exploring the new menu items they are creating. I’ll be back for sure.

I hope I contributed to someone's college fund, ouch $. The Impossible burger was better than the Tickle ? bean burger.

I was on foot in Northside with a good friend who was getting me back out into the real world by shepherding me through a woods walk and multiple music venues, and when we passed by the Park Diner's sandwich board propped open on the sidewalk corner, something clicked. A glance inside revealed a rather fresh redo into a little shotgun chow spot, complete with the same style of kitchen chairs that my Aunt Betty had forever. So, we decided to split a big burger with a side salad each. Once in there in the front table, our pleasant and attentive waitress got the order pronto and the sandwich and side of fries were soon sizzlingly cooked to order. Our salads were very fresh, enjoyed as my friend Sara shared a hip book title and philosophy regarding how ideas and creativity come from the collective conscious. When I eventually dove into the the side of hot fries with my fingers, I found that they were absolutely perfect. Hopefully it wasn't a one-off, as few places really know how to not kill French fries by properly cooking AND draining fully—while keeping them crisp and hot.. The standard seasoning on the thin-cut "pomme de terres" was a nice twist, and future seasoning choices would be fab to choose from. The Park Diner could even become a famous destination eatery just on those perfect long thin tastes of heaven. If you go and eat there, tell them you want some of those skinny "Best fries on Earth," and you'll lick your fingers when they are all gone.

My partner eats meat and I don’t; we’ve never been disappointed eating here. The fries are great, I’m excited about their tofu sandwiches and veggie specials and my partner thinks they make a delicious burger. The atmosphere is friendly and there’s always good music playing and something to entertain yourself while you wait for your food. Don’t sleep on dessert here, either: there’s always a little tart or cobbler.

Vegetarian options: The owner is married to a vegan: there’s always something for a vegetarian to eat here. I love the way they prepare tofu and there are often veggie specials.

The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure we were taken care of at all times, and the food was all SUPER fresh and tasted soooooooo good. That classic burger deal is no joke, and my pal's mushroom and Swiss looked delicious! I can't wait to hit this spot up again, they'll treat you right!

Disappointing. I'm surprised by the numerous high reviews. We had: a pulled chicken bbq sandwich ($12 w/o a side - It had a lot of burnt pieces in it), a grilled cheese (not enough cheese for the thickness of bread), tomato soup (or should I say tomato paste), and a side of mac n cheese (which was excellent). Add on 2 cans of soda @ $2.50 each plus a 20% tip, and it was just shy of $40. The cost would be fine if the food had been good, but it just wasn't (except the mac n cheese). We didn't like any of the other 3 items.
