Love small businesses. Not locals and wanted something sweet, great choice. The lady who checked us out was very nice and has very good goals! She has amazing Taylor Swift art on the walls and the pastries are delicious! I feel like I made a friend tonight! :) I hope she remains successful!

It’s was 11/3/23 as you can see by the time stamp at 10:35 me and my girl walked in I didn’t get is name but it was a brotha with a fro the service was too tired and he came with energy as well excellent service! If I had cash I’d tip him ngl the strawberries in my girls funnel cake didn’t seem very fresh

The funnel cakes are amazing and there is such a wide variety to choose from. Service was amazing as well. The only draw back was no place to eat inside.

Literally would lay my life down for their red velvet jars. It would be part of my final meal hands down. 11/10, no chocolate chips in there, highly recommend.
They are so unprofessional and will not answer any calls. I ordered through Uber Eats and they adjusted my charges because of add ons but it was a build item that had individual charges for each item and the other was made standard. Not only did my 5 discount not apply they adjusted my bill claiming add-ons that I paid for already.

One stars because the cookie I had was decent and I cant give zero stars. The young lady in the front seemed annoyed with our questioning as it was our first time coming here and was very monotone with us but despite that we still ordered and gave the place a chance, i got a funnel cake and took 2 bites before I threw it away. Funnel cake is supposed to be crunchy, light and airy… mine was thick, doughy and soggy. Unfortunately, I will never return again.

Let me just start by saying if I just had to review the desserts alone it would be 5 stars. I am rating the business as a whole which is why I give 3 stars. I first visited The Sweet Place a few years ago as me and my mom were waiting on our food from a restaurant up the block. I tried the sweet potato pie and my mom had a funnel cake. Both were amazing!!!! The sweet potato pie is something you can tell came down the line from a great baker. The funnel cake was warm and moist and just delicious. I visited a few more times just to get more sweet potato pie. Fast forward to this year. I have sporadically visited through the years but just started going back. I visited last Wednesday around 630. Not too many items to choose from as they aren't open and don't bake on Mondays and Tuesdays. So I just had cookies and brownies. I came back Friday and walked to the door and 505pm and it was locked. A worker came very quickly to come and open the door. Nothing was set up, nothing was really in the display case but cookies. I got cookies and 2 slices of cake. Espresso cookies are great and so are the chocolate chip cookies. I had the vanilla slice and birthday cake slice, both very moist and amazing. I have no complaints whatsoever about the desserts. My biggest complaint is the hours. Opening at 5pm is so late. You are by major hospitals in the area. There are so many visitors and workers who would love some nice desserts during the work day or to grab before they get off. It gets so busy in the Clifton area after 5 so dealing with traffic and the bad parking it can be hard to get here. I don't see a lot of advertising on social media or anywhere. I'm not sure if The Sweet Place is trying to cater more to the younger, late night college crowd or not, but you are losing out on a lot of money by not opening earlier in my opinion. I think even if you tried a day or 2 just to open earlier, you could see a big difference. I also think that if you are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, you could use those days as prep and baking days. Just because you open so late and customers as myself who live nowhere near close come to visit, we would love to be able to choose from all the desserts that are available during the particular season. Again no complaints about the desserts, they are top notch. I just wish you opened earlier and used Mondays and Tuesdays as days to replenish for Wednesday.
