Safety warning:Consider bringing a friend and something that you can use to defend yourself with.It's possible to meet some decent people and have a good time here, but of the 5 bars that I am familiar with in Reading, this one is hands down the most dangerous.There is no security or bouncer, and not all of the bartenders are effective at addressing the presence of hostile guests. Some of the dregs of society take advantage of this weakness; violence, hostility, and drama are common themes here.

The Valley has a lot of drug users. Even the bartenders use. The place is really smokey and very dirty. Will not go back. Even the women fight. Also if you are not in the bartenders group of friends you will not get a drink. Reading police hates this place as well.. Has to come every week. The owner needs to do some serious work weed out all the druggies.. It is also filled with rude toxic people. Good people who want to feel safe turn around and leave. Sorry but it is true.
