**updating my original review from December ‘24. West Side management has reached out and shared that this previous manager is no longer working there. Our deposit was refunded and we all agreed communication could have been better. I appreciate their understanding and follow up. We enjoy the times we have had at the brewery and look forward to getting back again soon.

This one star is solely for the Management of West Side. I’ve been here more times than I can count, from random drop ins for a beer, organized network happy hours to birthday parties. My family invested in the original start up back in the day. They were one of my first places to check out when throwing my mom’s surprise 60th Birthday party. The booking process was fairly simple.. I would have appreciated more communication from management when booking but in today’s world I have very low expectations with customer service.
Day of the party came and I booked 3 extra hours for time to set up and make sure the space was ready. I made sure to introduce myself to all the staff from the kitchen manager, bar tenders (they were good) and taproom manager. Everyone was aware I was the organizer of the event and to reach out to me during for anything.
Party was great! My mom was surprised and it seemed like everyone was very comfortable in the two rooms we rented ($30/hr for 2 rooms from 4-11). I reached back out to the taproom manager for my $100 deposit back & received the unprofessional response attached. I did realize once we arrived at the party that my balloons had confetti inside of them which confetti is not permitted. Balloons are permitted though so unless we went around popping all of them there was no issue in my eyes. I did immediately asked for a broom so I could manage any mess during the party (which there wasn’t). I stayed after with my husband, mother (birthday girl), dad, and cousins to clean everything up spotless.

The second issue was around our guests eating food from the party next to us. This was one couple (65 years old) that got confused & didn’t realize this was not our party. We took over 80% of the party space so it wasn’t clear to them that there was even another party nearby not a part of us.
The fact that no one from west side even brought this to my attention is ridiculous. I would have happily apologized to the other party and purchased food for them to make up for what had happened.
From start to finish Colin at West Side has not been helpful and has been extremely rude. I feel like I need to blame the kitchen staff as well for not communicating at all.

Sadly I would not recommend West Side for any future events. They didn’t feel welcoming and seemed bothered by the 3 children there (out by 9PM) that were very well behaved & enjoying themselves.

The 30+ Cincinnati Firefighter brotherhood that attended is also disappointed to hear how this was handled and won’t be having any future meet ups here.

Awesome vibes and great food. Love the Buffalo chicken dip, you can get the bread and they'll even slice up the gluten-free crust so that you can use that instead. The jerk wings are fire and loved the potato skins. Can't wait to go back again and again!

My husband and I stop in West Side Brewing regularly. I recently planned a family get together and reserved a space at West Side. They explained the rules and have a Party FAQ on their website. Everything was spelled out for a seamless experience! Of course West Side has a large selection of beers and ciders to choose from! Catch-A Fire pizza is onsite and a great addition to their business! Thank you to Colin and Sam and all at West Side Brewing!

Solid selection of beers. Great food from catch a fire.

I hosted a birthday party here in one of their semi-private spaces and everything was fantastic. The bartenders were so nice and accommodating, the catch-a-fire people were amazing and worked with me on timing of food and anything else I needed, and the space itself was just perfect. I will be recommending this place to others who need to host events and will most definitely be hosting more events here myself in the future. A perfect experience!!

I reserved West Side Brewing for our holiday party. Working with Colin to setup the date and time was so easy! We also had the event catered from Catch-a-fire pizza. Brock was very helpful in answering all of my questions when it came to the menu for the party. Both Colin and Brock were flexible to make any changes that we needed. The food service was constant during the party and there was never a time we were asking for more.

Great selection of beers n ciders. Got 2 flights and most were pretty good. Couple were not what I expected, but were ok. Not a real big place, but we found seats by the window. Didn't try any food.
Staff friendly and helpful. Parking was a nightmare as their lot is tight, holds water after a rain, and street pkg was roped off for construction.

My husband and I came here 3 nights ago for the first time and we’re coming back again! Every beer we tried was so tasty and the pizza was great! I grew up on the west side and it’s so fun coming back and seeing the positive changes. Such a nice hang out spot!

I had a great time with friends, family and co-workers on a recent visit. The knotty bread, Nati Twist (with beer mustard), pizza (we had One Love) and s'mores dip were delicious! On tap, the favorite among my large group was the Blood Orange Common Ale, with POG (Passionfruit, Orange, Guave Hard Cider) a close second. Definitely try Linda's Fall in a Glass!
Parking available in back or in a pay lot that's very close to the building. The building is accessible with long tables and benches and chairs that can be moved to sit comfortably. Having a large event? They have space!
Everyone here is friendly and knowledgeable. Tell them what you'd like to try and they'll recommend a drink you'll enjoy. I'll take better pictures next time, I was having too much fun and forgot to take them. ?

The guys behind the bar Friday 10/18 were great. Glad Catch a Fire is there now. I really enjoyed the Passionfruit Orange Guava West Cider.
