I have never seen so many onions involved in Asian cooking. Food was not good and the service was average. The atmosphere is also boating and dated. But what made the experience overall not worth returning was the price to value ratio. For 18 dollars an entree of pho soup I can go to Oriental Wok.
The Sushis were good but Thai food did not taste very authentic. I ordered summer rolls with tofu and it is quite bland. I ordered a tofu veggie sizzler which was supposed to be mushroom asparagus carrots and onions as per description but there were no asparagus and very few mushroom and there is only so many carrots you can have! My friends ordered fish and seafood which they felt was good but the gravies were not exciting. They liked the Sushi.
Once I walked in thr restaurant it already felt very authentic. The aroma of food smelt wonderful, I was practically drooling over the smell. The atmosphere felt very peaceful, it was loud, but quite, it was just the right amount a noise. The service was wonderful! Once a stepped in the restaurants I was immediately sat down at a table! They also had tons of seating areas! The staff were also kind to my little one! 😊 The miso soup tasted like a burst of rainbows exploding in my mouth. Most of their food choices were big enough for a whole family to share. 😊 Their sushi tasted phenomenal 😍! I loved how they had so many choices for almost everything. My son loved the egg drop soup! (He's a big fan of that soup!) I was really surprised that they had salads here! The Wild Ginger Fried Rice was so tasty, honestly when I read the description it just sounded okay, but when I had it, it just tasted so good there's no way to describe the amount of flavor I tasted. My husband got the Traditional Fried Rice, which was prepared beautifully. 😍 Overall l, this place is a solid 5 👍.

The food and service are good. We ordered mango curry with shrimp and a sushi combo plate. Both were tasty. It was disappointing that they ran out of duck and could have provided a larger amount of rice to go with the curry. We have eaten there many times and the food is consistently of high quality.
Table of 4 on Christmas Eve. The staff seemed overwhelmed. We were at our table over 30 mins before a server came. Our drinks came after our food arrived. We tried to ask anyone if our drinks were coming and were pretty much ignored. They brought the wrong food. Eventually our correct food order arrived and it was pretty good. We have enjoyed eating at Wild Ginger for many years, but this may have been our final visit.
We dined there for lunch recently. This restaraunt has an extensive menu compared to most sushi places I've been to. The service was efficient, the sushi was excellent. We will definitely return.
Sushi and Thai fares are done well by Chinese chef and cooks in the kitchen. Their pho comes straight from Costco’s package instant noodle pho so they spent zero time cooking bone broth. They just give you a lot of sliced rare beef that are cut way too thick.
It gets a lot of compliments from non Asians who don’t know any better.
Lost 2 stars for fake pho.

When they’re good, they’re really good…but when they miss the mark, it’s rough—like tonight.
For the price, I expect consistency, but my food was disappointing: undercooked egg rolls, cold chicken pot stickers, and a chicken curry drowning in sauce. Definitely not the standard I’ve come to hope for.
Food was fresh and delicious. I like that we could get sushi, stir fry, curry, Thai - lots of variety.

Five stars for Wild Ginger’s delicious Thai food! This was our favorite lunch spot when we worked in Hyde Park for a while. The pho is the most flavorful I’ve had, and the curry vegetables are always cooked just enough to be crisp but not too crunchy.

Got pho to go. Noodles were separate in a box. With my bean sprouts, there was no cilantro, no basil, no basil, no hoison sauce, lemon slice instead of lime. I thought, apparently they don't know what pho is. However, the broth was actually very flavorful. Still don't like the block of noodles in a box and lack of garnishments/ condiments... I can't say that I'd go back, but it somewhat suited my pho craving.

Truly horrible. The absolute worst pad Thai I've ever had. The stir fry both looked and tasted like it was made in a microwave. Both dishes were almost completely bland except for a faint plastic taste that reminded me of hot Ziploc bags. I felt bad about throwing it all away but my dog wouldn't even eat it.

We ordered a full dinner for the family on June 7th. Unfortunately, two dishes, ginger stir-fry, did not come and one dish came wrong. We ordered mango stir fry and instead received mango curry. We even paid extra for faster delivery. We are greatly disappointed as three guests will not have dinner. Wild Ginger told us to call Uber Eats to get a refund. But how does this solve the problem? They told us we would have to order again. A good restaurant would have made the missing dishes again and paid to have it delivered. Do not order multiple dishes from this restaurant they can not accomplish it.
