Great food, great options, able to really make the ramen you’re own but can get a bit pricey. Bar service is slow and had to repeat my self multiple times as server forgot to bring drinks and to ring in apps.

Zundo has been one of my very favorites in OTR for years. I've never had a bad experience. The tonkatsu is the highlight, but it's always hard to skip the curry (I often take the curry to-go for the next day).

I ordered the miso ramen and it was so good, a nice light broth with pork, a soft boiled egg and bamboo shoots

Best ramen in Cincinnati. I’ve had the best Tan Tan ramen available in NYC and the Tantanmen at Zundo with black garlic oil is better.

Food was fantastic. Bartender/Waitress was extremely helpful, gave us tips and recommendations. Style and decorations are fitting and chic.

Update: food still fantastic!

I've enjoyed this place for years Service is great and I like that you can tweak the dishes a bit, like adding extra meat or noodles (or both).

I usually get the chicken katsu or tonkotsu ramen, but I'm also down with their donburi. They have a nice selection of sake, other wines, cocktails and beer, including from Japan.

The atmosphere is perfect for friendly dining conversations with soft music playing in the background.

Overwhelming Presence

Atmosphere is very intimate and there’s very moody lighting it’s quite pretty.

Service was good, attentive server and answered all my questions about the food.

And the food tasted exactly as I expected it to
Overall I’d recommend this place

Delicious! Everyone at the table got a different ramen bowl and enjoyed their food. We had dumplings and edamame as appetizers and they were excellent. I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail that was delicious!

I had dinner here with my husband, and it was a fantastic choice for authentic Japanese comfort food. The restaurant has a cozy, inviting atmosphere with traditional decor that adds to the experience.

We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and Chicken Katsu Ramen, and both were excellent. The Tonkotsu Ramen had a deep, creamy broth with just the right amount of heat, complemented by tender roast pork, a soft-boiled egg. The balance of spice and umami made every bite satisfying.

The Chicken Katsu Ramen was equally impressive. The soy-based chicken broth was rich and flavorful, and the crispy breaded chicken cutlet added a great texture contrast. With bok choy, bean sprouts, and a soft-boiled egg, it was a hearty and comforting bowl.

Service was smooth, and the portions were generous. If you're in Cincinnati and craving bold, flavorful ramen, Zundo is definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful waitress and delicious food! Learned the chef studied in Japan to make these fresh, from scratch dishes. I've been to Japan before amd this is the most authentic restaurant I've been to in the U.S.

Really evokes the japanese flavors, I mean, not the same because they made some adjustments, but broth is tasty as it should be, takoyaki and gyozas taste as they are supposed to, and the staff was nice enough to explain to us how to open a ramune bottle
