Points added for convenience and price (family of five ate for around $50). But it's a zoo restaurant, and you should expect roughly public school quality provisions. Pizza was soggy but edible, and the crispy chicken sandwich was probably worst I've had since elementary school. The hot dog is easily the best thing we ordered, undoubtedly because it's the hardest to mess up.
Service is a ways below this unfortunately; the employees wear a perpetual frown and mumble answers to questions. All of them would rather be home binging a Netflix series and have zero interest in helping. Expect mediocrity and you'll only be mildly disappointed.

Surprisingly good and inexpensive for an in zoo restaurant. We had a burger and a chicken sandwich, and spent $25 after drinks. Both sandwiches came with house chips, which were crisp and there were plenty of them. Food comes frozen, but is heated up on a grill or in the fryer so it doesn't taste as if it was microwaved. Would recommend planning your day so you eat here instead of at the food court in the main zoo. The Rainforest Cafe is a bit nicer because it has indoor and outdoor seating, so if it is hot or cold you can eat inside. Wasn't very crowded when we were there around 12:30.The one employee cooking the food when we were there looked like he'd rather be anywhere but there, and made the food kinda slowly. Lady working the checkout was very friendly though.
