Food was very delicious but the portions were small. Service was prompt but felt a tad rushed. Decor was great and the candelabras were very cool however, the lighting was too dim as it was hard to read the menus. I would probably return but I would like to see bigger portions and sides.
Parking: You could probably park behind westside market but we just used the valet.

On Friday, December 6th. My friend I decided to go here for drinks and a small bite to eat. Upon arrival, there was no hostess and a line of people waiting to be seated. After 10 minutes, We went to the bar and asked a bartender if we could sit at one of the tables in their lounge area because the hostess was no where to be found. He approved and walked us over to a table. Our waiter came over and gave us water and we order a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Brut. While we were waiting about 20 minutes for our bottle, out of no where comes this man rushing over to our table with such a nasty and hostile demeanor, claiming the table is reserved for a bigger party and that we need to get up using shooing motions with his hands for us to move. We try to tell him that an employee seated us there he argued with us and told us that we sat ourselves and that we need to move. Continuously using this shooing motions with his hands at us. As we follow him to the table he moved us to, the hostess cuts us all of and says that table is also reserved. He then moves us to small, off balance high top table in a corner which happened to be very cold. In the midst of all the chaos, our server (after waiting for our bottle for 20/25 minutes) brings a bottle of Lambrusco Wine which was already opened and poured into the glasses beforehand. Additionally, that isn’t what we ordered. The server appeared to be drunk and disheveled. While my friend is correcting him and requesting the right bottle, I’m speaking to the man who moved us. Expressing to him that I don’t appreciate his attitude or demeanor towards us. I tried to explain to him that we were seated by an employee and that it’s impertinent to uproot us from our table in the middle of our service. He continuously talked over me and questioned me about who seated us as if I was making it up. Then he ends the conversation with “well we can agree to disagree” and walked away mid conversation. I asked our server if there was a manger and who the rude man was and he told us he is actually the owner. My friend and I then decided to walk out of the establishment. Learning that he is the owner was very disappointing. We left feeling embarrassed, humiliated and in my opinion racially targeted. The service was terrible, the staff was very unorganized, inattentive and had no knowledge of the menu. The owner is a very impolite, ill-mannered, and harsh man. I will never step foot in Bartleby in my life and I make it my duty to tell anyone I come in contact with about my experience at this establishment.

We were part of a large group at this restaurant on Thursday 12/12/24. Many of our group had not been to Bartleby’s before and several of us drove over an hour. Food was ok, although some orders were cold. My burger would have been better hot! Service was less than good. Our server, do not know his name, blonde, different haircut, was a bit overwhelmed. We wondered why, with such a large group, there wouldn’t have been extra help assigned. Some of the food sat for longer than it should have which made many unhappy and the server quite touchy and short-tempered. Can’t say I’ll never return, but last nite’s experience will sway my thoughts of coming again.

A friend and I went Friday night just to have a few drinks. When we arrived the bar area was full so we waited to see about getting a high top table. There wasn't a hostess in sight so after about 10 minutes we eventually go to the bar and ask one of the bartenders where can we sit since the bar is full. He comes around the bar and seats us in the lounge area on a couch. He then sends another server over and he takes our order (A bottle of Veuve Clicqout and truffle fries). The server ends up coming back twice to ask what kind of bottle we wanted. (Personally I don't think he had a clue what was on the menu). Next thing we know a VERY RUDE man came over to us and told us we had to move and that we shouldn’t have sat our selves because it’s reserved. We tried to explain to him that wasn’t the case but he wasn’t even trying to hear us out. His demeanor and tone was extremely nasty, he was visibly irritated with us (Making “shooing” gestures), as if we were the problem and not the employees lack of communication. The situation left us feeling sort of embarrassed having to get in the middle of service to be moved into a cold corner. After all of that moving the server then brings out the wrong bottle(already opened and poured) to the table. We explained to him AGAIN what we wanted and also asked who the man was that moved us and the server told us it was the owner. After hearing that we ended up leaving the restaurant because if the owner is that rude to customers I believe the whole establishment is as well and I will not spend money with a place that treats people that way. Very disappointing, unsettlingly and ultimately unnecessary.

Went to celebrate my friends 32nd birthday. It was a late Wednesday night and the restaurant was quiet with just a few tables lingering around enjoying their company. Service was outstanding, our server was very knowledgeable of the food and drink menu and gave very honest answers about the questions we asked him. Short Rib was out of this world and the truffle fries are a great appetizer to the main course.

Wow. I don't know where to start. I made reservations for my husband's surprise birthday dinner. The aesthetic was what I wanted. The night started out promising. Attentive hostess and server and slowly the night started unraveling from multiple disruptions by a DJ and live band setting up within arms reach and the plug-ins to the house not working and having my handicapped MIL and SIL having to move several times to accommodate them. The music got louder and louder and I was the last to get my food and when I got it, it was cold and hard and Lobster tastes like it was dropped in the charcoal instead of being prepared in the grill. I wanted to send it back to order what my husband was having, but our server completely disappeared. He came back, and I tried to hold him long enough to make that request, and he whisked himself away again, only to disappear. I got the runner who brought the dish, and he took it back to "have it made again," but I didn't want it at that point. 5 minutes later, he brought my plate back out, saying he didn't want me to be the only one without food at the table. So we eventually got the owner, who then asked if we wanted our drinks comped. No, we weren't drinking, so you're gonna comp fruit juice and water? I still never got any food, and 2.5 hours had passed, and everyone had finished eating and was ready to go. We sat about another 20 minutes trying to find the server for the check, we never got the birthday dessert or any further acknowledgment from the server. My husband had to find the owner again to ask if we could leave or what was happening, and he told him we were free to go and he had comped the meal. Only then did the server come and ask if we had paid the tab. I politely looked him square in the face and said, "Your boss paid the tab." And my dinner guests all left.

The atmosphere is amazing and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, I enjoyed the presentation of my drinks and food. The group I was with shared a couple pizzas that were pretty good but for my main I ordered salmon and it was so incredibly salty I only took a few bites, however our waiter was wonderful and very attentive

Food was gross, overpriced, and I’m writing this right now on the toilet because my stomach is in shambles. I might have food poisoning. I will never go back. The atmosphere is awesome though. But that’s it.

Las Vegas, speakeasy sleek. A perfect place to hang out and dine for the autumn indoor dining season. May sure you don’t pass by the unremarkable Bartelby sign because once you enter you know you’ve found something special. Kind of like entering through a speakeasy doorway. However the scale of the dining room is Vegas like. The bar is spectacular. The house music is very cool. And the food and service is amazing. Our server Chris was on point. The owner, Morgan came and had a glass of wine at our table and was actively greeting and making sure his guests were taken care of.

Go there just to enjoy this beautiful interior!
I went to dinner here tonight and was served by Craig. The food was great, the service is excellent, great recommendations on both drinks and food. The Bartleby burger is great 10 out of 10.
