1st time here to get a stamp on my Ohio Brewpath Passport. Kolsch and Hefeweizen were both okay but really liked the Saison. Service was a little slow but an interesting place to take a date or to study.

Bookhouse is an absolute gem. Amazing beers in a variety of interesting styles, friendly & attentive bartenders, and a nice relaxing environment. You'll feel welcome no matter who you are. Ask the bartenders about the history of the building if you're a history buff, it's extremely cool and unique. If you're like me and enjoy going out for a beer, but want to be somewhere you can have a conversation without sports or other TV blaring at you, this is the place to be!

Ew, this establishment smelled like a moldy basement.

Amazing find in our trip to Cleveland. My wife and I always seek out the best local, independent brewpubs on our trips, and Bookhouse is near the top of our list. The Irish Red was excellent. Atmosphere felt like I was in a common room at Hogwarts. Full of warmth, great staff, friendly people, and great vibes, the history of the building was a surprise bonus.
The fact that Bookhouse is LGBTQ friendly- and this is coming from an old cis straight guy- made it all even better. Long live love, great community, diversity, and great beer!

Staff was extremely rude.

I don’t know where to even begin with this so-called “brewery.” For starters, the beer was absolutely atrocious. Every single brew I tried was either flat, overly bitter, or tasted like it had been sitting in a rusty keg since last summer. Their “flagship IPA” was so sour I thought I had accidentally ordered kombucha.

The atmosphere wasn’t much better. The place smelled like a mix of stale beer and wet mop, and the music was so loud and mismatched it felt like I was in a bad college dive bar. And don’t get me started on the staff – rude, inattentive, and completely uninterested in explaining their beer lineup. I asked for a recommendation, and the bartender rolled they/them eyes at me like I’d asked they/them to solve a math problem.

Oh, and the food? Lol what food. Let’s go to Taco Bell.

Overall, this place is a disaster. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere that actually cares about brewing decent beer and treating customers with respect.

Good beer, good food, wide selection of board games, friendly staff, clean and private bathrooms. What more could you ask for!

What a magical brewery! The atmosphere here is amazing - from the inside which felt like a different world in each room to sitting outside in all of the hops it was hard to leave! We enjoyed the beers, the space, the games, and the staff. 10/10 experience.

I loved the beer and loved the people who went. Did not seem pretentious and overly crowded like some other breweries in the area.

The atmosphere, beer, staff, support for good causes, and various goings-on give patrons so much to enjoy. Bookhouse has become so important to us that we even took some engagement photos there. This cozy alternative to the average sports bar or brewery is a real Cleveland gem

Bookhouse Brewing has been a staple for me while living in CLE- it’s in my top three favorite breweries in the area. The atmosphere is inviting, the staff knowledgeable & engaging and the beer top notch! I appreciate the variety offered and it’s the perfect spot for patio brew in the summer & to cozy up during a snowy day. If you’re in town for a day or a lifetime make sure you check it out!! Cheers!!!

Great brewery, well rounded draft offerings with usually some "off the beaten" path styles. Atmosphere is relaxed and the patio is nice.

Great, relaxed atmosphere. Passionate about what they do and the community they serve. Perfect place to meet over a good beer without tons of distractions.
