Service was terrible. Waitress needs more customer service training. Waited on food over 40 minutes, when it came my Steak was tough and the bake potatoe was cold. They were out of gravy, pet the waitress Gwen. My granddaughter ordered Salmon, wasn't cooked fully, outside looked good but inside was not done. Ask to speak with a manager and a man who never introduced himself walked over totally unconcerned, with his hands crossed in front of him, ask,"How can I help you". I was showing him the food and speaking about my disappointment with service and food. Two things he said was "I talked to the cook", and "I'll take it off your bill", No apology, didn't ask if we wanted something else, just took the Salmon and walked away. He started talking back to the waitress. Very rude. Never go back there again. Was only looking for great service, good food and nice time with family. None of that happened. I had to ask the waitress for the manager name. Owen, you suck as a manager. I Surely won't recommend this Brown Derby.

More expensive than most restaurants I've eaten in. The ribs had no char boiled taste. We couldn't get anymore salad. Four of us asked for salad with our meal and one large bowl was sent to the table for us all to share. The rolls were tasty but the butter flavored margarine didn't melt in the warm rolls. The steak I tasted from one of my companion was char boiled but it wasn't seasoned. I'm never going back, too expensive for that lousy tasting food.

The Mon - Wed special deal is value for money. Steak is slightly overcook compare to the level which I expected. The sautéed mushroom is a little salty. Staffs are very attentive and friendly. Not the best steak in town but it’s good enough to settle your craving on steak

I've been coming here since I was 4 (currently 21). I remember the paper on the table! Order the brownie sundae for a great dessert. My family comes here every other week and they have recently stopped allowing salad refills. That's why the 4 stars, they have the BEST salad and I miss the refills every day ?. Great place, great drinks, and a nice family atmosphere!!!

I love eating here. I order the salmon broccoli and mashed potatoes. Omg....it was delicious. I tried to take home but I was so drunk off the long island iced tea that I left my food boxed up on the table...moving along to that long island......whoa it was good as ever. I meet a guy named Rich at the bar and he told me to add lime to go with the lemon that came with and it was ever so tasty.?. Great restaurant. Great food. Great drinks. Oh...also the mudslide is the bomb. It's nice and strong

First visit to this restaurant. For dinner I chose the NY Strip, Sweet Baked Potato, and Steamed Seasonal Vegetables.Steak was a tad over cooked and could have used a bit of seasoning, but the chef managed to still produce a steak that was not dry.Baked potato and dinner rolls were really good.Vegetables were bland and could have also used some seasoning. The meal was not bad. I would give it another chance but next time we'll dine in.

The last time I was at a Brown Derby was for my sixth grade graduation. My Mom, Aunt, and Cousin took me here for my birthday. Our server was good considering he was only on the job for three weeks and is new to restaurant work. Everyone liked their food, although we were surprised when the salad came out. We were expecting individual salads, not one huge bowl for everyone to serve themselves, which was different, for me at least. I remember when dining at the Brown Derby was something special. While the overall experience was good, it didn't have that upscale dining experience.

Had a party of six around 2:30 on a Sunday. The staff is good, but the food not worth the money. Steaks were over cooked, the hamburger my husband ordered was the same size as our kids meal one. The grilled shrimp was basically warmed up shrimp.Sad when the best part was the rice.

This was my first time at Brown Derby. Our server, Chelsea, was phenomenal. We had a group of 7 for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent. I had a grilled steak salad which was huge. Everyone was happy with their food and Chelsea.

Aye foodies!!! So my wife and I went for our anniversary lunch and I must say it was pretty good. We've been here before so we already knew the food was good. Never had the drink though so I was pleasantly surprised when the waiter brought out this tall drink. It's called the brown derby grog I believe and it's damn good! Compliments to the mixologist lol... The steak and ribs were tender and cooked correctly.. the meat practically feel off the bone, the loaded mashed had all the right fixins... Great atmosphere, we could hear each other talk even though the bar had the browns game on. Overall, I'd recommend! ??????

When you pull into the parking lot of a restaurant on a Saturday night and it’s virtually empty, that should be the first sign of the type of experience you’re going to have. Walking into the restaurant it appeared that nothing had been replaced or updated since the place opened (my guess would be over 20 years ago?). The hostess was nice but appeared to be wearing slippers when she sat us at our table. Mindy was our server and she took good care of us. We appreciated her honesty when we asked about some menu items. As an appetizer we ordered the calamari. The menu said it came with a sesame ginger slaw but we received no “slaw”. Regardless of it being slaw-less, the calamari were pretty good. They were the biggest calamari rings we’ve ever seen (like the size of small onion rings) and came fried with some kind of dipping sauce. The dinners we chose were the Parmesan Crusted Cod (with a sweet potato and broccoli) and the Ground Sirloin (with a sweet potato and mixed vegetables). The best part of these 2 entrees were the side dishes that came with them. Both of the sweet potatoes were large and tasted great. The Cod on the other hand was disgusting. If I worked in that kitchen I would be embarrassed to have sent something like that out. Served on a skillet, it was a skinny water logged pathetic piece of fish that could not have been more than a couple ounces. You could press your fork on the fish and squeeze water out of it. As far as “Parmesan crusted” it was actually just Parmesan shredded cheese melted on top. The Ground Sirloin (basically a large burger) although cooked properly came loaded with odd tasting mushrooms and onions on top that looked like they came out of a can. We didn’t send the Ground Sirloin back, but did replace the Cod with a Single Pork Chop. Mindy was very apoplectic about the Cod and made sure the Pork Chop replacement came out promptly with fresh side dishes. I was glad that I chose the Pork Chop because it was tender and cooked perfectly. Although the service we received from Mindy was good, we will not be returning to Brown Derby. This is definitely NOT like the experience we remember having at the Heisley Rd location in Mentor.

The place was kind of busy the night my family and I visited (a party of 20 arrived just before we did). Service was good, however I didn't feel the food was worth the price. Overall it was ok...however Brown Derby descended a few notches from a few years ago in my humble opinion.

We used to enjoy this place, they did a decent steak. We got ignored after seating a couple of times and hadn't been in for a few years. We decided to give them another chance tonight, Huge mistake! My wife and I both ordered top sirloins, you would think the steaks would look the same, they didn't even look similar, like we ordered different steaks. One third was nothing but grizzly fat, and another third of it was completely raw. The grizzle ran through the entire steak, very tough, almost impossible to cut. Those were the only similarities to the steaks. They were not just poorly cooked, they were bad steaks to begin with. It was like they were butcher scrap pieces they might save for their dog. The few bites I did get to eat were cold and flavorless. My wife said her steak tasted odd, like a lemony taste. Seriously, these steaks were inedible, they should be ashamed to send out a plate like that. Absolutely horrible, worst steak I have had in my life. You could get a better steak at Golden Corral. We paid $22.00 each for those steaks, they were not worth $2.00. We gave them another chance and they blew it big time. We will never step foot in there again. I only gave them one star because I couldn't post a review with no stars.

Well I would suggest not going there an hour before they close. I felt like I had to wait a long time to get my food. When I got my food my baked potato was so overly roasted that I felt it was inedible. I told my server and he brought me a new one. The meat on my T-bone was pretty good. Did not order an appetizer. The prices went up a little bit as everything has. $$-$$$

Hadn't been in a long time. Service was awesome. Our server, Sandy, was incredible; personable, funny and efficient. Had the T-bone special. It was cooked to perfection. Can't beat the prices!
