Cafe Tandoor is my ultimate, ideal Indian food. I grew up in Cleveland, but lived in New York City for 15 years and never found another Indian restaurant there that hits the same depth of flavor as Cafe Tandoor. It’s comfort food for when we want takeaway and the perfect spot for a night out! Hard to go wrong with anything you may order, but the butter chicken is especially warming and the saag paneer is beautifully complex.

I just ordered from Uber eats. The butter chicken was below average. The curry was runny with little to no flavor. There was a pretty sweet taste which was the main profile of the dish with an after taste of vegetables soup. However, the mango lassi was good.

This restaurant is a nightmare. They don’t know how to treat their customers and service is below 0. They serve rotten food. Found a bug in my food, when complained to manager he started telling us this is not a bug and started disrespecting us.

I'll be honest, this isn't where we were intending to eat! But, the place next door had a very long wait, so we gave it a try!
This was the best discovery! We have never had Indian food. We always thought it would be too spicy. Here, if you want the spice, you let them know.
I had the Chicken Tikka $16. It was very tasty, but just a little dry. It was not overly spicy at all and probably a good first dish! (Next time, I'm going for the Tandoori Chicken.)
My husband has the Tandoori Mixed Grill $25 to try different items. He loves them all. I was not a fan of the lamb, but everything else was good.
We also tried the Nan and Garlic Nan breads. Both tasted similar. They were very light!
I would highly recommend Cafe Tandoor! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful for us first timers!
We will definitely be back!

By far my favorite restaurant for many years. The food is always amazing. The staff is helpful and caring. It is clean and atmosphere has Indian music. It’s the real thing! We celebrated my birthday with a long table of family and really enjoyed everything!
