Despite being, quite literally, a hole in the wall, the food at Cilantro Thai was delicious, combining fresh ingredients with big, bold flavors. In keeping with it being an “express” restaurant, the menu isn’t super extensive… and prices are also slightly high. Moreover, when we went on a Friday evening there were only 2 employees trying to operate the entire shop; they were doing a valiant job, but service was a bit slow as a result.Note: plan to order takeout if you come here. Even if one of the two tables in the restaurant happens to be empty, the space isn’t particularly conducive to dining in.

I don’t know where to start… east side for Thai AMMMAAAAZINGGGGG…! Not to mention the sneaky surprise of a gem next door with a beautiful chill face Maria slinging drinks! But back to the Thai food phenomenal we’ll be back!!!!

We ordered UberEats from this restaurant. I cannot say enough good things. Pork gyoza, veggie spring rolls, wings (Thai spice and Thai garlic), green and yellow curries. All have been very, very good. Also, this place is super fast getting it out - waited 30minutes from order to delivery and it comes piping hot every time. Word of advice- I love spicy food. The level 2 spicy is a perfect, makes your nose runny, type of heat. Order accordingly.

Ordered takeout via their website. I requested gluten free due to an intolerance, and they called to let me know that unfortunately they are unable to make their curries gluten free and to offer a replacement (most noodle and rice dishes can be made gluten free!). I appreciated the option to replace the curry I had ordered rather than just having it canceled. My husband had the beef pad Thai. I had the pad kee mao and basil fried rice, both with tofu and gluten free. Everything was delicious. Medium spice had a decent kick (from someone who likes some spice). I assume they had to leave out the soy sauce on my gf dishes, so I did pop on some gf tamari before eating for extra flavor. A little pricier than our other go-to Thai place in Cleveland Heights but will definitely be a repeat customer.
This was my first order. The food is OUTSTANDING! I got one beef, one chicken and one veggie dish. Everything was fresh. Each dish had its own set of complex flavors. Best Thai I’ve ever had in Cleveland!

Excellent, quick food! I got a tofu noodle dish and a sparkling yuzu soda. Perfect medium spice level, as ordered, tasty, authentic, good balance of protein veggies and noodles.Will be back!Kitchen and restaurant were clean and service was friendly and fast!

While I loved my order and everything that was included, I would like to highlight the “portion” aspect. The wings could be at least 25% bigger. SMH the flavor was absolutely unmatched and unquestionably the best flavor I’ve tasted on chicken. But I do wish to have had “more”. I’ll be back of course. Lol, just thinking maybe bigger wings. More than happy to pay the price adjustment.

Best and most authentic thai food in cleveland! Not a huge capacity to dine-in at the small space. Regardless, the take-out is always piping hot whether it is delivered or pick it up. I hope this place sticks around!
