The Cleveland Zoo is one of my all time favorite places to go! We love going during a festival to see the transformations and experiences the atmosphere throughout the seasons and time of day. We have attended the Asian Lantern festival, Boo at the zoo, and winter fest this year.. I highly encourage you all to stop by the zoo and if you have little one definitely check out the treehouse and petting area!

We have seen a few zoos, as we seek to entertain the littles. :-)The Cleveland zoo is an oasis in a very rough area of town. Safe. Secure. Amazing design/layout. We had a lovely day. Kids were entertained with all the exhibits, which in comparison to other zoos offered great viewing options for adults and toddlers. The abundance of play structures, staties, nd wide walking areas made this trip relatively relaxing. Much to see. My repeat it in near future.

Love love love Cleveland metroparks and therefore the zoo for being part of the organization! We are members and visit very often. I think membership definitely pays itself off.During the week, it is less crowded and can't wait to see new addition for Susie's bear section.

Never again! We went to the rainforest attraction at the end of the day. My son is a paraplegic and we used the elevator to access the second floor. We finished right at closing time and headed to the elevator. The elevator was now NOT WORKING! The zoo employee, Latonya, could not have cared less, no assistance, no compassion, no help whatsoever. I had to work with my son (fortunately he's very strong in his upper body) to slowly navigate three flights of stairs! After speaking with management the next day, we found out there was !!!ANOTHER ELEVATOR!!!! No one bothered to tell us about! This was the most frustrating, exhausting, and humiliating experience!! If you have mobility issues DO NOT GO TO THIS ZOO!!!The zoo itself is poor. Few animals, very poor signage, weak animal exhibits and enclosures. Worst zoo experience ever, and I've been to zoos all over the country. Do yourself a favor...find something else to do in Cleveland.

A very beautiful zoo with friendly staff walking around just waiting to help you. The zoo is shaded a lot, which was nice. The Rainforest is amazing! There are plenty of places to find food and beverage. We enjoyed our visit!

the zoo is great, but the food service is terrible. waited for over an hour to get a burger. kept getting the order wrong multiple times. Wasted time with grandkids trying to get something to eat. Do yourself a favor and bring your own food

Beautiful zoo! There are many great exhibits to keep you and your family entertained for hours, albeit there is quite a lot of walking between exhibits. I'd also prefer if there was more continuity between exhibits, whereas animals from a variety of continents were grouped up, unlike the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. All and all there are many great and unique animals to see at this zoo and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Cleveland.

Be prepared to walk! Overall, nice place. I loved the rainforest part the best. Super nice atmosphere and a lot to see. The animal exhibits were all a little far apart from each other, which was a little strenuous for my fractured ankle. However, it was a fun time.

Let me start this out by saying I have been to several zoos on busy holidays so I'm not giving it this rating just based on that. We went to the zoo today to take my son to a zoo for the first time. It was packed but that was expected with it being Mother's Day. Parking was atrocious. No parking attendants, or zoo employees directing traffic. It was a horrible free for all. Then after at least 30 mins of searching for a spot we get in the zoo. We can't find any maps. So I have to take a picture of one. There is only random sporadic signage telling you where to go so we just kind of guessed. Half of the animal exhibits didn't even have signs to tell what animals we were looking at. And a whole section of the zoo is not even actually inside the main gates of the zoo (the rain forest section) which I didn't know until after I had thrown my ticket away. The ONLY bright spot was my son got to feed giraffes which are his favorite animal but other than that it was poorly laid out, looked like they were completely unprepared for a very busy weekend when they knew we're having mothers get in free. I will not be returning to this zoo

I'm an avid visitor of zoos. Everywhere I travel, I try to make it to the local zoo. Despite being a local here, this is one of the best zoos I've been too. Large, a great variety of animals, fun events and activities and affordable. Definitely recommend!

What's not to love about the zoo animals and it's free to those who reside in Cleveland on Mondays. The fun part is my daughter enjoys it a lot. It can be pricey if you want snacks and eat there unless you bring your own lol . When yours gone tho what else is there to do but get more right?great experience though.

Pretty standard zoo. Not huge but has a nice collection. A bit of a strange lay out with a lot of underutilized space. Some interesting animal exhibits, in particular the koala and rainforest exhibits are unique / well done. Not a destination but not bad if in area.
