Tommy is fantastic!Just landed in town from the good Ole show me state and he took care of me. When the bars around you are closed on your flight landing I would highly recommend this spot for a drink. One quick note is that you've gotta ring a doorbell to get in. I was genuinely confused by that at first tbh

Laid back, friendly, neighborhood bar. Ring the doorbell to be let in! Once inside, wow, is everyone friendly! Within minutes we knew everyon who walked through the door.Upstairs and downstairs bars, and partially shaded patio.

Cheap drinks, was pretty empty on an early Saturday afternoon but the staff was nice and the space was great size with lots of decorations (loved cloud ceiling)

Uhhhh I tried to call to see if they had karaoke for our gay (male) friend. A man answered the phone announcing that it was Cocktails, and after i said "do you have karaoke tonight?" And instantly after, the line went silent and i havent been able to get a dial tone since (straight to mailbox not set up message). I asked my wife to call on her own phone and it went through until she spoke, and then she recieved similar treatment to me. I think the bartender blocked us based on our female sounding voices??? Because its a "gay" bar, and maybe that means women and trans men arent welcome??? Thats the only thing i can think of. Really weird. Hopefully our experience is abnormal. But I can't recommend this place based on that.

Was having a good time until the bar tender decided he was done with touch tunes and turned off the jukebox to play old dirt music after I paid to play my songs. Not to mention lots of songs are filtering out anyway. Probably won’t be back anytime soon :/

The bartenders upstairs are terrible and rude. The downstairs bar doesn’t know whether they’re open or closed

Cocktails is hit or miss depending on the night and the crowd but it is one of my favorite places to visit in Cleveland on a good night, the drinks are pretty good and cheap too

Cocktails Cleveland is a multifaceted bar geared towards the LGBT community. The ground floor is a large pool hall with retro rustic décor that will take you back to the '80s or beyond and offers lots of room for folks to spread out. There are also spaces that can logically fit musicians, dancers, and other performers. When I stopped by, I arrived well before the basement was open (more on that later) and found service approachable in some ways and perplexing in others. One pro: they take credit cards, even for tiny purchases like individual cans of White Claw, which younger patrons seemed to be going for. One con: even though this establishment has "cocktails" in the name, bartenders may not be familiar with well-known mixed drinks like old-fashioneds. Still, something easily remedied by a quick cell phone Google search for the right recipe and ratios. The basement of the venue - when it's open - is the real gem, though. It generally opens at or around 9pm on weekend nights, but you'll want to check their social media to be absolutely sure. Even if there are themed "bear" or "leather" nights, what really happens is that most of the ground floor, regardless of age, persuasion, or fetish, will move down to the basement where the vibe is more intimate and social. Here, there's a dedicated menu of cocktails - most of them cheap, and most of them delightfully fruity and crushable. So I'm glad I lingered long enough at the ground level bar to be able to discover the basement bar. From the outside, the venue looks like a boarded-up dive. The fact that you have to be buzzed in to get in might give some pause, but it's a reminder that, especially in a red state like Ohio, the LGBT community's ability to gather in "safe" places should never be taken for granted. At a time when our rights are under constant assault, it's also a reminder that we need to stay on guard and flex our power wherever we can - especially at the voting booth.
