Strange vibe from the staff. They seemed confused why I was there. When I ordered a drink, I was asked if I knew what it was... I've ordered and enjoyed the coffee beans in the past, and this was my first time in the café itself, which was cold and drafty, and the seating was uncomfortable. The tea I had tasted good but was almost cold, and the hot chocolate for my kids weren't even mixed well. Maybe I got them on a bad day, but I'll stick to the east side for friendlier service where I don't feel like I'm being judged from now on.

I came in with a group of friends (6) on Saturday there wasn’t really a line when we showed up and we ordered pretty simply drinks to go, it took a pretty long time to get them and the baristas were not very friendly. All of that would have been cool if the coffee was good but it was mid and unremarkable. It’s a shame this place is rated so highly it really shouldn’t be. I will give bonus points for having a great location and decor I loved the the shop but the product was kind of a let down.

I don't understand why the coffee had a yellowish tint to it, after I added a touch of cream. Shouldn't coffee have a rich brown color? I didn't care for the taste of the coffee. Quite frankly, I found nothing appealing about the cafe at all. The boring bland decor, the oppressive music, and the awkward seating arrangement. And the prices seem designed for snob appeal. No way a simple cup of coffee should be that expensive. Unless the coffee bags are flown over to the US in first class seats.

The coffee is fantastic, but the price of beans has just become too much. 8oz bag price will have to come down significantly before I would seriously consider putting these beans in regular rotation.

Great place for a good coffee or drink. Lots of spaces to sit, although someone difficult to concentrate on reading or writing with the loud music.

Parking: Parking free in Sunday.

Top-shelf coffee and knowledgeable staff are battling to polish a gem which is only blemished by somewhat detached service and an inconsistent atmosphere. This makes some visits blissful and other visits sub-par in comparison to other shops in the area. I tend to go elsewhere when I want a reliably chill experience, which I find unfortunate because I think Duck Rabbit could be a truly great coffeeshop with some simple changes.

1.) Sound deadening panels. Some spaces don't need sound deadening panels. This space NEEDS sound deadening panels. It can be truly game-changing. If you know, you know.

2.) Quieter music, and more consistent. It's always good music, and I usually end up hearing something new and interesting, but it is often at volumes better suited to bars than a coffeeshop which closes at 3pm. The environment here doesn't feel as well considered as the coffee, and both affect the overall experience. The music changes in tone and volume from song to song and from visit to visit, and for me this is distracting, although for others it might improve the experience. I can only speak to my own feelings, and I want to be able to enjoy a coffee in a relatively peaceful place. I don't think you should notice the music unless you want to tune in, and today the bass was vibrating in my chest and it was hard to hear each other talk. I just don't think that's the vibe for coffee, to be honest, and it isn't the first time.

3.) Hospitality also feels less well considered than the coffee. We ordered an americano and were told we ordered a quick cup. The thing is, nobody else calls drip coffee a 'quick cup' and my partner didn't see it phrased that way on the menu, so wouldn't have said this. I think this is one of those cases where you at least leave some room for the customer to be right (we were), but in my numerous visits this is exemplary of the overall hospitality - it's okay. We've experienced more mistakes here - though still infrequent - than at other shops and staff feel somewhat indifferent toward customers. It's not the worst, but it doesn't stand out like the quality of the coffee does, and I think it would be worth paying special attention to this.

I really root for this shop because Cleveland benefits culturally from third wave coffee that's of this caliber. I hope that ownership/management takes this comment as the well-meaning, genuine suggestion for improvement that it is. These are the main reasons why I end up choosing other reliably chill shops for a weekend outing with a slightly warmer welcome and attentive service. That said, we'll keep giving y'all a shot every once in a while!

Great coffee ☕️ and ?
The only thing I don't like ,they serve the coffee in cartoon cups, not in porcelain.
Espresso in porcelain is way different, guys.

Excellent specialty coffee locale. The baristas were very friendly and knowledgeable. The menu doesn't have a lot of flavors or additives. However this allows the wonderful coffee options to really shine.

Cold brew was the most acidic cold brew I’ve ever had. Was almost undrinkable. Man at the register was dry and borderline rude. Jarring music playing over the speakers. Maybe I came on an off day?

Cool looking coffee shop with overpriced and bad tasting coffee. $14 for two cold brews and an espresso shot. Yikes! Coffee was sour tasting.

One of the best drip coffees I've had in a very long time. Probably since New York City. Grabbed a bag of beans, haven't tried them yet.

Had to pick up some friends at the airport, so the wife and I stopped a few places on our way. We have a favorite coffee shop nearby but wanted to expand our horizons.

Shop has a clean relaxing feel. Menu is simple which is nice. I had a plain latte and my wife had a pour over.

Staff were hospitable and coffee was excellent, requiring nothing to make it enjoyable i.e. flavors, cream, etc.

Overall, this was a good experience and we will certainly stop back.

Parking: Street parking nearby

Wheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp into the entrance to help ease the transition.
