I absolutely loved this place, and I would be in serious trouble if I lived closer because no doubt I would go almost daily. ?

What's not to love? A stones throw from the West Side Market, friendly service from the gentleman behind the counter, and the Krémes (Napoleon) was absolutely divine. As good, if not better, than the kremsnita I've had in Slovenia.

I’m a long time customer of Farkas. They are the go to spot for Hungarian and central/Eastern European pastries. Specifically, their Napoleon (kremšnita) is the best I’ve had. I think they’re as good or better than the many I’ve had in Slovenia.
My wife and I had them in lieu of our wedding cake, and they were, unlike most wedding cakes which are usually a flop a think, extremely well received. People are still talking about them.

I've been coming here over 10 years and love it! The bakery is like family to me. Also happens to have been the best job I ever had. I still stop by for the pastries and service. Incredible quality!
