Every time they change the menu it feels like a step backwards. Breakfast burrito.... Gone. Crispy chicken.... Gone. Rotisserie chicken.....Gone. And the sub I had today.... The $15 regular priced sub.... Was honestly underwhelming and disappointing, and that's being generous. Less meat than a Subway, 1.5x the price of a Corbo's and the overall quality..... Sliced deli meat you could pick up at a GFS store, 3/8" thick sliced tomatoes, cheese sliced thick enough for a cheese platter and what they have dubbed as "aoli"..... I can only describe it as heavy duty mayo with suggestions of other flavors, slathered on thick enough to drown out any possibilities of the other dull ingredients standing out.
Green Rooster USED to stand for something fresh and delicious, now it is a shell of its former self.

The name is misleading. They need to inform ppl in the description that this is a quick bite/grab-n-go place. We were breakfast, sit down hungry. I can't honestly rate this place as we didn't eat here.

Good fresh food, a perfect spot for lunch. I like trying their daily soecials. The grilled cheese with tomato bisque is amazing. I also love the buffalo chicken salad and chicken salad sandwich. The staff are extremely friendly and hard working. The choice of cookie and chips at the end of the line will always get me.

There are things I really like about GRF. The food has never failed to be tasty, they are quick and they are decently priced. However, one time too many, there's been an issue with my food that I can't overlook. I've had shell pieces (not just one) in my lobster roll, the fish sandwich on a burger bun, that when cut in half, there was barely any fish in one half, or the buffalo brussels sprouts being hard and almost inedible. I think it's best to stick to what they have on their regular menu, and think twice before trying the specials.

Ordered the chicken Caesar wrap which was good but not great. Lots of seating seemed kind of like a ghost town compared to the last time I’ve been there. Not really the restaurant’s fault just not as many office workers I guess

This is by far one of the best lunch spots in the Playhouse Square area. The food is always fresh, full of great flavor, and made with high quality ingredients. The prices are reasonable, especially compared the the quality of the food. There is plenty of seating to dine in with 2 levels, and is always very clean.
