Grumpy’s Café in Cleveland has a cozy, artsy charm and a menu filled with hearty American comfort food, but the experience can be uneven. Portions are generous and flavors enjoyable, yet dishes sometimes arrive lukewarm or lack consistency. Service is friendly but can be slow, especially during peak brunch hours when waits feel longer than expected. While it’s a neighborhood favorite with character, it doesn’t always deliver on reliability, earning a fair 4 out of 5 stars
The place has a great vibe! The food is delicious. Had the tuna melt with house fries and a peach lemonade! Didn't see desserts on menu. The walls have paintings and arts from locals that you can purchase! Will definitely come back.
I will say as a group of two we were sat immediately but it took forever to receive our food and that's the biggest complaint i have. The food was good, i got the smothered belgian waffle and my friend got the eggs florentine. The flavor was good but the belgian waffle could have had more cream cheese and been crispier. The eggs were yummy but a little wet overall, and the cajun hashbrowns were really good. Also reasonably priced.
