So much better now that it is a Vietnamese restaurant! The old "New Gum Do" was so outdated, the interior looked very 70s-80s and musty, and the food was very 70s-80s and musty as well. The new owners re-did the interior, and the menu is a welcome change! Their pho is DELICIOUS, as are their appetizers. The staff was very polite and friendly when I came to pick up my order, everything was fresh and just what I expected. Cannot wait to try other menu items.

I have had the Pho (P4), Spring rolls (A2), and Bun during my three visits to Gum Do, While the outside could use some TLC the inside is spic and span clean. The staff is very nice and deliver prompt and polite service. As to the food? OUTSTANDING - Both times I have had Pho it was presented in a good size bowl with plenty of beef, noodles, and vegetables. The spring rolls were generously filled with fresh ingredients. I have had the Bun (B3) topped with a Vietnamese roll and grilled pork - it again was top rate. Well worth the visit.

Please see my review on their new page: Royal Pho Vietnamese Restaurant. Ignore all reviews prior to 8/19 when New Gum Do Chinese Restaurant was closed and Royal Pho opened. Thank you.

My new spot for pho and Vietnamese food. Instead of going to downtown. It's just down the street from my house.

Tried this place for the first time last night. It was fantastic! I wasn't sure if they were even opened but I called and they took my order over the phone. I ordered chicken pho and beef pho and potstickers. It was ready in 10 min and staff was very friendly. I will be back.

So they really should change the name of this place if only to get rid of the crappy old reviews from before. This is a mom and pop Vietnamese place, not a sad old American Chinese place. And honestly the food isn't bad. I've been dying for a half decent pho restaurant for years now to come to the south Cleveland area and this one is pretty good. The broth was quite respectable. Not the best I've ever had but far from the worst. Portion is generous and the price isn't bad. I also got the C1, which I think is the broken rice grilled pork dish. The meat was awesome, exactly what the dish is supposed to taste like, savory, sweet and chargrilled. However, I'm not sure what happened but I got regular rice with my meal, not broken rice and not even typical sticky Asian rice. This stuff was separate kernals like Uncle Ben's which was pretty disappointing if I'm honest. They also do a version with vermicelli noodles which I plan to get next time. Anyways, check this place out if you want an authentic cultural experience. NoRo is lucky to have it!

The previous Gum Do Restaurant (Chinese) was a disappointment and I hadn't set foot in there for years because it was so bad. New Gum Do has been under new management for about 3 months and is now a Vietnamese Restaurant and it is a refreshing addition to the local North Royalton eateries. It is cleaner and brighter inside, the service was excellent, the Pho plentiful & reasonably priced, and I would have to say that I enjoyed my bowl of Pho here more than in most of the Pho specialty restaurants in Cleveland. A name change is apparently in the works (waiting for paperwork to go through) and there will be alcoholic beverages available in the future (waiting for that paperwork). Having enjoyed my Pho, I am looking forward to going back and trying some of the other Vietnamese dishes offered on the menu.

I discovered this place after moving into North Royalton and it is fantastic! Their pho and pork sandwiches are amazing, service is great and they have a nice space inside wherever you want to dine in or take out.

Had a P1 Pho and the A1 egg rolls. First I must say I was taken aback by the remodel. This place had remained untouched since my first visit in the 80s. Same too with the menu. Nevertheless it definitely now has the menu of a Vietnamese restaurant. The pho was large and flavorful. Came with the normal leaves, sprouts and peppers. Very good for the price. Tea tasted the same as before, which is heavenly in its own simple way. I'll be back next week.

Pot stickers are amazing as well as the wontons in the won ton soup! Good prices, lovely environment, and great service! The pho was definately one of the best we have had! ( and we have had lots of it! )
