The location of this place is the only reason that they are closing their doors. Being right on Euclid in Downtown Cleveland is great but being off the street, behind a parking deck and located off the side of another building does not catch the eye of many people who are walking by. I feel like the experience wasn't what I was looking for since the staff knew that they were closing down I started with the French onion soup, which was one of the soups of the day. My entree was the fried chicken sandwich which came with tater-tots and spicy mayo for dipping. In my opinion the chicken sandwich was one of the best chicken sandwiches I have had. The jalapeño slaw on the sandwich helped bring out a lot of flavor and the pretzel bun was a great touch. I would still recommend trying this place before it closes its doors.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Hodge's in September and they did not disappoint! Working with Kelley to coordinate all the details was so easy and she made everything for our evening perfect. The food, the drinks, the staff everything about Hodge's was great. I highly recommend them for a night out or a special event you might be planning!

We were the only guests there on a Wednesday evening around 8pm (and the staff didn’t seem very happy about it). Food was delicious. We did small plates - devils on horseback, hanky panky, crab hush puppies and pirogies. Plenty to fill us up and no food wasted. It’s a nice place with outdoor seating. Check it out.

Ate here prior to a concert and very much enjoyed it. Service was great and the food was wonderful. My wife loved the Seafood Risoto and I enjoyed the Mushroom Ravioli. Glad we stopped by.

We just finished our third time doing a Hodge Podge tasting menu at Hodges. This is our second under the new chef, Andrew who does an amazing job. They never fail to amaze and come up with creative ways to present each course. Note, there are two places they can do the Hodge Podge. The usual area is a private back room directly off the kitchen which is intimate and secluded or the balcony above the bar which has a higher noise level. Go hungry.

FOOD: MUST TRY THE POTATO BALLS. Other than that, Hodges is your average American-style dinner restaurant. The menu items had a lot of special items that looked like it'd be worth a try. I got the Salmon Risotto and it was a little disappointing. The Risotto rice was a little too overcooked and mushy. The salmon was great though! Not dry at all and had good taste. PRICE: $20-$30 per person. SERVICE: Service by the staff was great. Attentive staff who were friendly and courteous

Their food was completely bland. Every single thing we ordered had no flavor at all. The wine was cheap, and it showed. Service was extremely slow and not friendly. The only positive was the outside patio had a nice ambiance.

Great ambiance and nice bar. I started with the goat cheese salad and the vinegarette made the salad - fresh ingredients with blueberries and strawberries. Finished with excellent Nashville hot chicken and they used thighs so flavor was awesome.

Near e 4th st in Cleveland. Classy place with outside patio and comfy red seats, dim lighting inside for a chill dinner mood. Me a friend had dinner there, our waiter along with the other staff there where very nice and made outer experience fun. They even helped us navigate places around the city as we were tourists. Food was excellent I recommend the pot stickers.

This is $5 burger week in Cleveland. Service was quick and staff very friendly. Food is quite tasty. We had the goat cheese salad which was very good. Both my hubby and I ordered the Cab burger from the special menu. We ordered it medium rare. My husband 's was well done and mine was rare which I why I gave them 4 stars. I asked for no jalapeí±o and pork on the side and they did that right. All in all I'd go here again.

Had an enjoyable visit here the other night. I came in for Cleveland Burger Week to try their $5 C.A.B Burger. They also offer happy hour until 5:30pm where you can get drinks and appetizers for half off. Kenny was my bartender and he did an excellent job being attentive and personable! He also mixes up a strong drink! The burger is cooked to your preference (I chose medium and it was still juicy and pink inside) and comes with pulled pork, deep fried onions, and coleslaw. To me this was a hearty burger, nothing skimpy here. I also liked the textures - moist meat, crunchy coleslaw, crispy onions. However, I did think the flavor was a bit bland... nothing really stuck out to me. I was able to get some sriracha aioli to add to my burger which worked perfectly for a kick of flavor! This turned out to be my second favorite burger from what I have tried so far off of the Burger Week list. I also sampled the street corn dip (HH $5.49) and the potato croquettes (HH $5). Again, executed well with appearance and texture, but both lacked pops of flavor. I was actually surprised with the blandness of the food, I suppose I had expected more from Hodges than the mild fair they were serving. I would definitely still recommend this restaurant though! Great service, very pocketbook friendly HH prices, and the food is still good just not flavortown. If they don't, they should definitely get to making some (more) sauces/aioli's as an option for guests to pump up their dishes with (if they chose too, some people like mellow flavors). When they don't have valet parking you can still pull in and park in their garage. Just press the call button and tell security that you are there for Hodges.

Love the set back from the street location in the middle of everything! We stopped here for dinner when seeing a show at Playhouse but it was also the All Star Game night. The restaurant was busy but the wait staff worked hard and still made it personal bringing us several wines to try before we decided. Their Tuesday special of 2 for $44 with appetizer, 2 entrees and a bottle of wine, cannot be beat! Love the corn bread and roast beef!

We stopped here before the All Star game this week. We parked and found it by accident. We walked around 4:30 to a less than half full place. By the time we left, it was getting filled up. Usually a good sign. The Mac and cheese app was very good. creamy and rich topped with bread crumbs. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty good The burgers were modified and tasted good but were not as in the menu so we can't talk to that. I had the meatloaf melt. It was meaty and cheesy and sweet and savory all at the same time. The sandwiches came with tots. They were cooked well and held up throughout the meal. I also had the Brussel sprouts they were ok. Charred nicely but a little dry.

A very great place to eat! The food was delicious! The staff were all very kind! I will definitely return. The only thing I didnt like was the nachos. The chips they use are too soft and become mushy from the sauce. This causes the chips to break and it becomes a mess you dont want.

Nice patio in downtown Cleveland !! The service was pretty slow and the waitress wasn't very attentive. The food however was really good. Mike got the chicken and waffles and thought they were incredible (not as good as blue door cafe though) I got the spicy chicken sandwich with no bun cause I'm on a keto kick. The chicken was really good. The sauce was delicious. Appetizers: we got the pirogies. Pretty standard. Good though. Also got the devils on horseback. Chorizo stuffed dates, bacon, maple-soy glaze! SO GOOD. Order came with 4 and they were bite sized. Maybe would go back for drinks and appetizers.

We recently hosted a Welcome Dinner for my son's wedding weekend. Hodge's did a great job helping us plan and execute a fabulous event ! Catering manager Kelly exceeded our expectations with a great menu of casual foods that were modern and delicious! The bar staff tended to our guests very professionally. The event was a perfect start to our wedding weekend. Highly recommended as a venue for private celebration

Wow, this place has got it going on! Great atmosphere, awesome, friendly service and the food is stupid good! The chicken and waffles was unreal! The maple-bourbon butter.... salute the chef! Chic is a nacho connoisseur. She said, hands down the Caribbean Jerked Chicken Nachos is the best she's ever had! In house fresh made nachos were it!

Hodgea is a good place. They have really good food with a fun and creative menu.

Had a nice lunch meeting. Had the chicken soup to start. It was tasty and hot! Followed up with shrimp tacos. They were average compared to what I have had at other places but still good. Service was very good and timely. I would go again to try so other dishes.

very poor customer service. My daughter and weren't dressed in suits and dresses therefore got asked to sit at a high top at front door when there were visible seats in dining area. Asked for a table got a look and then got seated at a table with 2 chairs and a booth they say us next to each other vs across I'm guessing they didnt want us near the "business folks" pretty sad its 2019 and my money is green

We have not been to Hodges in quite a while. Returned during Downtown Cleveland Restaurant Week to try the $30 prix fixe menu. The salad was mixed greens with goat cheese, candied walnuts, and berries. The portion was the size of a meal even though it was the first course. The champagne vinaigrette dressing was the perfect complement. The main course was a seafood risotto that was rich and creamy and delightful. The dessert menu included a warm brownie with ice cream. We were also offered a gluten free dessert option which is one of the hallmarks of Driftwood restaurant group. They are very solicitous and will cater to dietary needs. All of the portions were very large even considering that this menu was a very reasonable $30 for all three courses. The server was excellent and the manager came over at the end of the meal to ask us about our meal experience and to chat with us. All in all, this was an outstanding experience.

We had a fantastic meal here. It's a little out of the way but worth it. Cocktails were great. Potato croquettes were incredible. I had the pot roast and my wife had the CAB burger and both were as good a meal as you can get. Great service , too.

Went for the last day of restaurant week for the first time. Started out with a happy hour app of pot stickers. The outside breading was fried perfectly to add a nice crunch and the flavors inside were on point. The sauce and the bed of slaw that it was served with didn't add much. We also started with a berry and goat cheese salad. The salad was my favorite dish of the night. The strawberries and blueberries on top were very fresh and sweet. The goat cheese was very good as well. The dressing it was served with was also sweet and on combined with the rest of the salad, made it on the verge of becoming wayyy too sweet overall. Our main was the seafood risotto. I've had better seafood risotto at other places in Cleveland but this wasn't horrible. It was served with a generous amount of shrimp and topped with crunchy onion pieces. The crunchy onions almost made the risotto too salty. I think a better topping is needed. I would like to go back especially because they have all day happy hour on Sunday's and there patio looks very fun in the summer.

Always use restaurant week to try something new. This year, Hodges, had never heard of it. What a tremendous experience. Service was spot on, Angela was great.I had the chicken and waffles, never, ever had this dish prepared so well. Immediately asked for a doggie bag so I didn’t stuff myself. Can’t describe the gravy but it was out of this world. Others at the table had been stroganoff, my mother made terrible beef stroganoff. This was not my mother’s recipe. Meat was phenomenally tender and flavorful, just the right amount of mushrooms and the sauce was not overwhelming.Lastly dessert for a family of 4. It was a huge brownie mug with an equally huge scoop of ice cream, fed two with plenty to take home.My only negative, is they were out of pierogies and we got the last of the brownies. It was Monday, they were not busy and both items were featured on their restaurant week menu.

The dish i ordered was absolutely amazing.

We came for date night on Valentines Day and what a waste of date night. I gave this place a 2 because the server was great! I got the seafood risotto and hardly any seafood and what was in there was tough. The corn bread was uncooked and croutons if our salad were so salty . Won’t be back !!
