The Brisket Dip was just non seasoned roast beef, the coleslaw recipe has changed from great to just ok and the corned beef sandwich was noticeably smaller and dry. The tongue sandwich was ordered cold and we got hot instead. The Cleveland Restaurant Group has sure taken this place from great to meh. Sad.
I really wanted to like this place. I do not want to communicate bad will to the warm staff. They added an element of enjoyment to meal. We will come back here to try again. The coffee was good. That’s no small thing. Unfortunately the tuna salad did not have very much flavor and was not delicious. My potato latke did not arrive till we were ready to go and asking for boxes. And honestly, it was hard and dry and small and disappointing. My wife got a sandwich and the corn beef was very good. The coleslaw was delicious too. One last thing, which I hate to have to mention, but I do so in the spirit of helpful: the bathroom was not clean. My impression was it had not been cleaned for several days.
Great deli. Had an awesome breakfast. Server, Angelo, did a great job with our large group. Food was very good and served hot. Pickles are authentic kosher Bagel sand which was oversized. All left full and happy!
I went there to get half pound of corn beef they didn't want to sell it I guess the just wanted to sell sandwich told me it would be 30 min wait for to go order nevermind that's why i usually go to slymans
New ownership and not the great Jewish Deli it has been for decades. I have been coming here forever but my first trip here since change in owners is also my last trip here. All new staff and just not the same place. I doubt they will be lasting for very long.
Restaurant is supposed to be open until 8:00 p.m. Got there at 7:40 and was told everyone was cleaning up and we aren't serving food anymore. Maybe you should list that you close at 7:30.
The food was excellent! Corned beef sandwiches so tender and their Cole slaw was best I ever had.
I have been going to Jacks deli for many, many years and really loved the food and family atmosphere. The service was always good and friendly. Went today and noticed a big change. The service was really slow and not very friendly. My friends food was inedible and cold and mine was cold. They did reheat my food, but had to wait awhile for a server to approach our table. Our usual server wasn't there and I learned she was let go because she did things the way she has done for 20 years (friendly, kind and would ask about us). I guess the new owner couldn't see the value in wasted conversation. Why buy a successful business and radically change the day to day operation? This restaurant is a very poor representation of a kosher style deli.
Had the triple decker sandwich and a slice of lemon meringue pie. Both were amazing. I highly recommend this place.
Came in at 1:05PM, took till 1:27 for someone to take our order, got the food at 2:10. Too slow. They were not even that busy. Food was decent.

Took like 45 minutes for 2 breakfast asked well done toasted bagel barely toasted couldn't eat the home fries to salty waitress offered to get hash browns never got them cheap white placemats.i can tell they specialize in cheap quality everything. Won't go back!
I love hot dogs. I know they’re bad for me, but I eat them occasionally.it’s a treat I can’t seem to deny myself. I love the greasy spoon diner and treat them the same. This diner represents to me what I knew as a child and younger man. I grew up in Chicago and what’s considered to be greasy spoon translates to well cooked, foods by expert grill, chefs, and friendly service. This deli has it all. They serve goetta. Try to find that north of Cincinnati. Eggs are done perfectly. Hashbrowns are crispy, sausages perfectly browned. You can’t ask for a better deli diner. It’s a bit crowded, but if you go off the busy hours, it’s easy to find a seat. Prices are more than reasonable.
Good breakfast food at reasonable prices. Enjoyable place for lunch.
I have been going to jacks for over 30 years and it pains me to say that yesterday I stopped for a lean corn beef sandwich..the corn beef was so chewy and gross along with beard that was white with a few seeds in it. So disappointing for a sandwich that cost me over 17$ ….. never will go again!! 😞
Food has recently go downhill. My hand-cut lox platter for $30 was served with pre-packaged smoked salmon of inferior quality.
The new management has recently let go
the best server who had a true, long-standing following. Very sad and unfortunate.
