I’ve been eating here since it opened nearly 30 years ago. The food is still great, but the atmosphere? Wow. I just moved back to Cleveland and was looking forward to this being a regular spot, but the version I remember was bright, clean and cheerful. I realized things had changed when my server commented on me reading in a bar. It is in fact now a bar with food vs. restaurant with drinks. I’m so sad about this. The menu begs for fresh air, natural light and clean, cheerful surroundings. Instead, my happy beans were surrounded by sticky floors, loud patrons and an overall dingy, dark vibe. Please fix!!!

The food is good but I feel like if you order to go you have to check your food thoroughly especially if your someone like me allergic to shrimp. I ordered a meal with double chicken my bf got shrimp and chicken. I was putting some in a bowl for my niece and I saw ONE single shrimp that was underneath. I feel like the cooks should be more careful people are allergic to shrimp I didn’t ask for shrimp on my bowl. It is to hot and don’t wanna waste gas to drive back up there.

Door says open on Sunday, I walked up and looked in the window, there was a lady behind the bar. Instead of coming outside and telling me they’re closed, she closed the curtain. Lol been waiting to try this place but after that I never will.

I love this place. Visit it regularly. They always have rotating specials and they cater to all diets. So thankful to have a healthier option in the neighborhood as well as a local haunt. Margaritas are on point and the community is even better. Viva la Johnny Mangos šŸ¤˜šŸ¼

I’ve been coming here for over 8 years… not as recently lately as I moved out of Cleveland. Returned tonight for a quick dinner and was so sad about the experience. Our server was rude and definitely didn’t want to be there. When we sat down she said they just had a big party leave and didn’t have any glasses so drinks would be a while and just tossed menus on the table. we only wanted water - I’m pregnant. 10-15 min later we asked another server if they had Togo cups so we could at least get water. She was responsive and brought that over. Should have been the adjustment from the beginning. Then the food came.. I’ve been ordering the pad Thai and fried rice for years. It was so salty we could barely eat it. The general feeling of the place was low vibes, dirty, and everyone seemed like they were about to walk out - one table actually did. I’m writing this in hopes that management steps up and saves this Ohio City gem. Happy to change my reviews with a response from management!

The lady who took my takeout order was super nice and helpful while ordering and I’ve had the food one other time before and loved it so I got the same thing but whoever made it this time it was a bit more bland and didn’t have enough meat. A lot of my burrito(wrap version) was just lettuce and tomato. Meat didn’t taste seasoned really either and I think last time it came with other veggies on it. But the beans, rice, and banana that came with the meal are good. The fruity wabbit juice was good and so was the carrot and orange juice I got last time. Oh yea also chips were stale this time too for the second wrap I got that didn’t come with all the sides.

Had a party of 8 made reservation. Waited 40 min at door even with reservation. When table was clearly ready. Took forever to even get water. When appetizers finally arrived was cold and not appealing. 2 hours in main course arrived and they forgot one order which also happened to be the birthday woman's dinner so that was lovely not to mention when food arrived was luke warm at best. And when we were finally able to get the check took an additional 20 min for them to come pick up check so we could leave so horrible 3 plus hour experience.

Have been coming here for years and let me tell you the food has gone downhill big time. We sat at the bar and received great service as always but the Pad Thai we both ordered was absolutely terrible. Very inconsistent we won't be back.

Poor service. Had to ask for silverware after food arrived. Had to go back and ask for napkins. Waitress seems like she couldn’t care less about being here. Prices not listed on menus. No salt or pepper at tables. I ordered chicken burrito, burrito came out bait wrapped up, had to eat it as a salad. Bland, zero seasoning. Asked for chopped jalapeƱo in burrito, no jalapeƱo.
Water never refilled or even a check in on the food after serving it.
Looks like they have a lot of fresh veggies, very little flavor.
That’s Cleveland for ya, ā€œthey’re tryingā€ as the saying goes.

Won’t be coming back

My worst experience dining out! They forgot an entree all together. My pad Thai was served without a sauce. Our server was more worried about drinking her beer at the bar, then checking in with us. We had to repeatedly ask for the beverages we ordered. Finally, our server had to ask us multiple times what we ordered so that we could get our bills. Completely disappointing! šŸ˜ž
