Our experience at Johnny's Downtown was wonderful. We had our wedding reception in the wine cellar with close family and friends. It was a beautiful room with a lot of character. The customer service was great and the food was even better! Everyone in our party also had high praise of the food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff. I would highly recommend booking your special event at Johnny's!Dietary restrictions: Accommodated gluten free and dairy free dietary restrictions.

We stopped in with no reservation on Christmas Eve following the Browns Game needing a respite from the winter storm. The staff was extremely accommodating (went out of their way to make my son a hot cocoa) and dinner was excellent (salmon for me, soft shell crabs for my son). Thank you for hosting us on short notice on a holiday! Amazing all around!

In October, we had my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner in the cellar. The food was delicious, and the servers were great. I ordered my steak well done, and it came out pink they fixed it immediately. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Not only was the food and drinks good, the service was awesome! Our waiter I believe his name was Matthew was amazing and so sweet! We will for sure go back for future date nights!

This is a top notch steakhouse. They have a pianist a couple days a week and I had a lot of fun hanging out and having dinner. There were a couple of people who got up and sang along during a coulte tunes. I really enjoyed the time there and the food is delicious. I've eaten at Johnny's twice now and I'm sure I will continue to dinne there whenever I visit Cleveland.

Phenomenal restaurant. Paino in bar section. Has outdoor seating and valet. Takes reservations. Has delicious duck, short ribs and veal. We had a terrific server who made our dining experience fantastic.

heard really good things about this place so I decided to come here for my birthday. it took the server 30 mins to even take our drink order, she didn't introduce herself or say happy birthday when we told her it was my birthday. mind you the restaurant was not busy either? I felt very ignored my whole visit. we waited over an hour for our food as well. the piano man was amazing and perfect, the only good part about my experience. so ridiculous this took so long. we watched 2 other tables get their food and desert and leave before we even got our food. such a horrible experience. I am a waitress and that makes me even more upset about my bad experience here. would not recommend and I will NOT ever be back. ALSO, the host "Joe" sat me at the WRONG table, then proceeded to call me and leave a very RUDE message. it was not appreciated. very rude when he is the one who messed up!

So disappointed. We got reservations two weeks before Mother’s Day for a lovely dinner and when we arrived yesterday they sat us by the area by the bar which had screaming children after 5 PM and presented us with a brunch menu. If we had known it was a brunch menu we would have gone elsewhere. The staff informed us they were not even aware that they had reservations after 5 PM. What should have been a lovely Mother’s Day meal turned into a huge disappointment. Needless to say we left and did not eat breakfast for dinner.

Went here on our anniversary. We had reservations and upon entering the host greeted us and sat us down. Unfortunately it took over 5 minutes. We kept noticing other people come and be attended and not even water we had. My husband went to wonder where and when our server would come. After a female server told us she didn't know what was happening, shortly afterwards our server came. Maybe he was having a bad day, didn't want to be at work or something. I mean he wasn't rude but the lack of being attentive was noticeable. The food was OK. Not the greatest but not awful. I went searching for the bathroom and a "regular" customer was the most enthusiastic and friendly to show me the way. Wouldn't say that this would be my top of the list place to go to for a fine dining or another important dinner date.

Dined at the bar on a Saturday night as I wanted to try a local joint w great neighborhood history. I truly enjoyed the hospitality and warm atmosphere that I took in. The escargot and fresh bread were zesty w garlic as they should b. Caesar salad was authentic w anchovy blended n w fresh lemon as it should b…and of course I had to try their house made angel hair pasta topped off w veal meatballs…wow and wow… the sauce was rich yet not overdone… altogether perfect. It would have been nice to have some fresh parm, but oh well. The carrot cake was delish and their espresso beans were robust and exactly the right finish. So glad I found them while n town.

Wonderful decor harking back to spacious wooden booth steak and pasta restaurants. The mussels as an appetizer were perfect, accompanied with some crusty bread as they should be. Fresh angel hair pasta came with authentic old fashioned meatballs, and the rest of the entrees were equally impressive. With easy parking just across the street its a "must-try".
