If something is on the specials board, it is worth a try! I have not had a bad meal at Chelo's!!!

Local resident, Our daughter goes to Jiu-Jitsu across the street and we've seen Chelo's restaurant and have always wanted to try it.
Well we did and OMG!!! Why did we wait so long I have no clue.
Waitress was very nice and knowledgeable and filled us in on everything made in house (Except for the corn beef hash) Food came out very quick and hot.
I got the Chivito with Fries and a Chocolate Alfajor dessert and the sandwich was so big I could only eat half and I took the dessert home for later...

Ordered the chorizo burrito and a coffee. Our food came out fast, was INCREDIBLY CHEAP and absolutely delicious. Portions are big too! Little hallway they make you wait in is a bit awkward, but that’s not their fault so no marks off for me.

This is our go to local diner. It is a family run establishment, and feels like it in the best kind of way. It is 100% a local gem. It has all of your typical diner staples at very reasonable prices, as well as some Uruguay delights. I typically stick with the French toast breakfast, but probably the best three things on the menu are the chorizo burrito, the chevito sandwich, or the Ruben. They have their own homemade corned beef, which is amazing!
