My First Time having this place !!! When I say DELICIOUS Isn’t the word, food was Phenomenal, I ordered fish, spaghetti, baked beans and greens. And it was very tasty, staff was very friendly also, welcomed me with a smile and when I received my food I was greeted with a smile. I will be coming back, thanks again for the wonderful service!!

On Saturday, 8/23/25 I was on my way to a restaurant where I hoped to have lunch. As I was driving I saw Kyries Cafe. I made a U turn decided that I would check out their menu. The parking lot had one car in it (red flag) but I didn't let that stop me. I entered the building and the first thing I noticed was that they have the kitchen area sealed off (you can not see the people preparing your food (red flag). A young man greeted me and pointed out the menus. I grabbed one and started looking it over. I decided that I would place an order and eat there. I ordered the catfish wrap and a side of collard greens. It took a while for my food to come; in the meantime I'm enjoying the music and sports on the TV. When the food finally arrived, I expected the catfish to have a crispy coating but it didn't and that turned me off immediately. The fries were not hot and the mac n cheese was greasy and I couldn't get passed that. I tasted everything that I was served including the lemonade; then I got up and walked out. They have you pay for your meal when you order, which I had spoken to the young man about at the time and I had no problem with. I will always try to support black owned businesses, but I should have heeded the red flags in this instance. Never again! PS take down those black out curtains!

The fish was cooked and seasoned well. This dirty grits phenomenon that's hit Cleveland 😒 IONLIKEIT just big chunks of onions and peppers...no bueño 🙅🏾♀️ they were also drowning in the rendered 🧈 and watered down. The bread, same thing its like they grilled it and then soaked it in the rendered butter but somehow the edges were still crispy 🤔 when we walked in, the host was also the server and the cook for the day, we suggested of that ever happens again to either close down until help arrives or do take out orders ONLY. The menu looked amazing though. We just need a little help on execution. It was not HIS fault he was doing the best he could ALONE. PRAYING THEY GET THE HELP THEY NEED, HE WAS A GOOD BROTHER WITH A BEAUTIFUL DISPOSITION, so I pray he succeeds 🙏🏾

Stopped in to check out this spot only to seated and find placed my order, pay and find out that my waiter was also the cook. He happened to be working by himself. So I had to wait about 45min for my food. The food was very mid. My wife had the whitting and dirty grits (thus should not be a thing). They were very lose and everything was saturated with butter. I had the daily special peach and 4 sides. The fish was good, well seasoned and cook just right. The sides were very small( the yams were good, Not overly sweet. The greens were very bland and were supposed to be cooked with turkey but I had not a speck of meet and could not taste any either. The mac n cheese was very greasy and unseasoned as well, using a seasoned rue or different cheese my help out. Lastly was baked beans with beef. They were the star of the show. My only suggestion would be that he switch to ground turkey for economic purposes as well as a lot patrons are moving away from eating red meat, plus turkey holds the flavor better in my opinion) probably would try again after conversation before ordering.

The restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere and beautiful ambience - And the prices were extremely affordable. I literally ate food off of everyone’s plate and everything was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates great food and affordable prices. This place checks all the boxes!

I’ve been coming here since he opened. The owner is very nice. I’ve had several conversations with him. You can tell he loves his craft. The quality of the food never changes.They give you plenty in every meal. I’m in love with his spaghetti. I love his ribs and the soul food Sundays is a must. I haven’t tried everything on his menu, but I’m slowly working my way around to it. I recommend and they know I’ll be back.
