Food so good that my taste buds are still buzzing an hour later. Love the salsa bar to personalize everything to taste. The elote in a cup was a warm hug of flavor. Every single meat I tried was cooked perfectly and seasoned to the point that each bite made me drop my hand and go into a euphoric haze as I savored each flavor.

This is a must visit place in Cleveland... the tacos, yes, but try the desserts too. Right up there with Slyman's and Mitchell's in Cleveland.

Delicious tacos, maybe the best in Cleveland. I also love the quesadillas, and the burritos can feed the hungriest around. All fresh and delicious. Make sure to check out the variety of the toppings bar, especially before you leave with takeout - toppings are also fresh and delicious

Large grocery options . Pleasant to shop there once you get past the smell of the cleaning products they use.

Restaurant is nasty. I bought a couple things at the store because I wasn't sure my usual shop for Latino ingredients would be stocked. Turned out it was stocked and 1/3 the price of la plaza. Never shopping here again.

The most authentic tacos you'll get in Cleveland. Sadly because of their popularity, prices have gone up over the years, but they've also been able to expand their seating area and separate from the actual grocery store.

Parking is a little tight in the adjacent parking lot, but street parking is usually aplenty. Pass through the small outdoor patio and enter an array of aromas. The menu has grown, but my advice is to focus on the tacos. Efficiency is their specialty - you order, they hand you your receipt, and you get your food in short order from the counter. No small talk or schmoozing.

These are traditional Mexican tacos - double corn tortilla with a heaping serving of protein. Chicken tinga? You got it. Carnitas? Obviously. Lengua? It's yours. The best part is being able to customize your salsas at the salsa bar so you don't have to pick out all the onions or cilantro that someone might inadvertently put in. It does make it a little inconvenient if you're getting things to go, since you have to pack up all these little cups of sauce and toppings, and the tortilla shells don't hold up well for too long so try to eat these fresh if you can.

The vegetarian options for tacos are pretty limited, but buy a baby-sized burrito filled with beans, cheese, tomatoes, and rice and you'll be pretty satisfied. Occasionally they'll have a rich soup like Posole that'll warm you right up. Guac comes in a hefty tub and pile of chips that you'll keep eating until you're stuffed with sodium and corn.

Plenty of first-come-first-serve seating inside, with a few outdoor tables that have seen some better days. Some of the seats outside are falling apart so be careful when you sit down.

If you’re from Texas, don’t do it. We’re from Texas, so our standards for authentic Mexican tacos are high. We came here bc it was on Diners Drive-ins and Dives and it was a huge disappointment. We ordered the carne asada and pastor tacos and a carne asada quesadilla and, unfortunately, they were terrible. The tortillas were stiff, the meat super dry and unseasoned. The quesadilla was also not seasoned and very dry. The salsas had zero heat and our bill was over $60!

Pre made tomalies and pork carnitas are great! Hot and fresh in the back right corner of the store. The bun/cakes are fresh on Fridays, but there are flies in the cases. Tacos up front in the restaurant are ok but nothing special. Cozumels have better mexican tacos with rice and beans. Produce is good and fresh.

This place is simple, no frills, but excellent. Get a side order of the verde salsa and they give you a 8oz tub of it. Best to order in Spanish.

LaPlaza is the spot!

Authentic tacos with all fresh everything toppings! Salsas, cilantro, lime wedges- Fresh!
The meat is deliciously tender and just melts in your mouth.
Service and staff are extremely friendly! Zero attitudes over there.
The cooks, the young lady at the counter, the gentleman at the counter from our last experience were all very nice as well.

I grabbed a soup to go, Caldo de Res, which is basically a beef vegetable soup. Amazing!

LaPlaza will always be my go to for authentic good quality food!
