Our server was excellent and attentive. The expansive "spritz cocktail" menu was delicious and we got to try several of the flavors- all yummy! All the food was delicious and well portioned- enough for left overs the next day. Highly recommend! We celebrated my son's 21st birthday and they even had a little "Happy Birthday" card on the table and a dessert for him at the end.

My Twins turned 17 yesterday (11/3) and they wanted to go somewhere they have never been. Choosing Lago was an excellent choice and great experience. The food was delicious!!! we had linguine & clams, lobster gnocchi, seared octopus and lobster arancini to name a few. Our server Mia was theeeeeeeeee best! we were a party of 9 and she handled both tables with no problem. The next time we come I would want Mia as our server. Thank you Lago for making our twins birthday dinner with family and friends, a night to remember.

The food was just not good other than the mussels...everything was pretty bland. Also, everyone's food came out at drastically different times (party of 5).

I thought it was going to be more elegant. The decor was cool with greenery. It's kinda loud. The outdoor chairs are casual not comfortable. The indoor looks a little beat up. We were seated very close to other tables. The waitress named Mittens was very nice but hurried. The Caesar salad that we split was split up and put into crock soup bowls. That was a weird choice. I asked for salt and pepper and it came in two tiny bowls with a spoon one only uses in the kitchen. Where's the shakers? We weren't offered bread if we wanted it with our salad. We got it though very late. I thought the lamb shank at $65 was fair but way too far removed from all the other price points of their entrees. The veal tortellini was very good. As it got cooler, the sauce got kind of gummy. I'd pick another place next time I'm in CLE. Also, valet is $20 plus a tip that's shared with the hotel next door. There's not a separate valet.

Appreciated everyone's efforts at Lago to make our dining experience an enjoyable, relaxing and scrumptious experience. Thank you.

We decided to give Lago East Bank another try after not having been there for a few years due to disappointment in the food on a few occasions. While the service was excellent last night (thank you, Zoranne), the food was mediocre. We ordered the bread and garlic butter to have with our cocktails, and while the bread was fine, there was no noticeable garlic flavor to the butter. We then shared the meatballs for our appetizer which were tasty, but could have been warmer. My veal tortelloni was prepared well, but did not have much flavor. My husband's Bucatini Alla Americana was “ok”. The chocolate mousse that we shared was very good, though huge. Since there are several excellent Italian restaurants in Cleveland, sadly, it is doubtful that we will be back to this one.

We went there before a Browns game so it was a little more energetic than normal. However the food and service were fantastic. Highly recommend.

The octopus used too much vinegar in their brine. The service was outstanding. The manager was kind enough to comp us for the appetizer.

The absolute best place to dine in Cleveland. Highest quality of food, best tasting, and service is better than any other place. The best tasting cocktails, and the ambiance is incredible. It is the perfect place to relax, unwind, or celebrate.

This was my first time dining at Lago. The lighting and ambience were relaxing and inviting. I ate the short ribs which was cooked to perfection. Our server was amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. This was a wonderful night.

Although we had a reservation we still waited and when we checked, the hostess seemed to have forgotten. The service was extremely slow and it was incredibly loud. The chef stopped over and apologized and said he would check back to see if we were interested in dessert. We never saw him again!

We recently visited your restaurant as part of a weekend of fun in Cleveland. Living in Charleston SC, we are very used to great restaurants, high end dining, and new culinary experiences. Our party of four ordered wine, appetizers, pasta, and entrees. Our friend ordered the special of the evening, a lamb shank with encrusted pastrami with mashed potatoes and asparagus, offered at $42. We enjoyed everything about our evening (patio seating- excellent, service - excellent), but the 3 star review stems from the management's reaction, or rather lack of reaction, to our complaint about the lamb shank preparation. It was extremely over cooked and very spicy. It appeared to be blackened, which was not part of the description. We all tried the dish and reported it to our server. We asked her “Have you tried this?” To which she responded “No, I have not.” We told her that it was dry and very spicy and she should let her customers know when ordering it. My friend did not finish his meal and shared my husband's pasta instead. The server went to speak to management and came back to report that they would adjust the bill. We did not see the manager, which we thought was odd given the situation. When we received our bill, we saw a $5 deduction. We are leaving this review so that management sees it and hopefully will do better for the next guests who have a concern about their meal.

I had a great night with my sister! We really enjoyed the food and the drinks, but the ambience is the cherry on top. I love it here!
