My husband and daughter visited for the 1st time yesterday and I benefited with a box of baked good they brought back! The best cookies and brownies we have gotten yet! I cannot wait to return and try a sandwich! My husband said the sandwiches looked amazing!!!
Hands down the best option for lunch in Cleveland. You can truly feel the labor of love that goes into this food. Coolest staff, electric vibe, hilarious stickers by the register (😎)
EAT HERE! They’ve gotta win that James Beard award this year!

We used their catering services for a relatively large party, and everything was great. They gave us great advice on the menu and portions. The food was delicious, and a huge hit with our guests. Highly recommend.

My wife and I went for the first time today because we read about the James Beard award they are nominated for. We both ordered the pastrami sandwich and split an order of potato salad. The pastrami sandwich had big pieces of marbled rye but the pastrami and kraut were not matching the amount of bread. Worse though was the pastrami. It was tough and very difficult to bite through. I've had pastrami sandwiches in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore and elsewhere in Cleveland and I can honestly say this was by far the worst. Also, the space was so cold, we had to keep our coats on and zippered. I am normally very warm. Overall, the experience was very bad.

Some of the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. Four people work they're not one person stops to take my order.finally, when they do give me my pastrami sandwich($17 by the way), it was so small. The cheesecake bites were also awful don't get those. As a matter of fact no one should come here. Terrible place, terrible owners, terrible workers.

Love this place. As my wife says, ‘The staples are always great and the seasonal items are too’. Their house-fermented items are a must.

Chicken sandwich was pretty good. Inside looks like a tiny coffee shop. Not sure about the James Beard nomination? I'll have to try other items before I can make it a regular stop.

Poor customer service, would not give me any other bread other than rye for my pastrami sandwich even though I have diverticulosis and cannot eat seeded breads. Very overpriced for what you get. Ordered a cinnamon roll. It was also extremely dry. This will be my first and last visit. I don’t understand the good reviews.

I got the salted maple pie which was delicious. I also got the roast beef which was a bit mediocre. To be honest the meat was a bit fatty, chewy and overcooked. It was a little bit disappointing considering it was $18, but the flavor wasn't terrible and the au jus was good. Had the meat been better it would have been a great sandwich. I still gave this place four stars, but it was mostly for the mini pie.

Ive been wanting to try this place for a good while on my occasional trips to Cleveland- and I got my shot today. Had a late lunch so I just got one of their well known fried chicken sandwiches, but would have loved to explore the menu more.
The sandwich was as it should- true chicken thigh done in house- moist and crunchy and fresh tasting. House made pickles and homemade seasoned mayo added even more to the overall flavor.
Beyond the food, the place is cool and hip yet not pretentious, being housed in part of an old fire station in Ohio City. The walls are adorned with knick knacks and food/drink collectibles. It's pretty small, but they do what they can with seating. And the staff is pleasant and quick, so pretty much a win all around, and a worthwhile stop when in the Ohio City area of Cleveland.
