I have been coming here for years. I have been slowing watching this place fall apart, But todays expereiance I will never step foot in this place again. So this is cash only now and there are only 2 servers so the service tends to be very slow. Once we were seated we ordered right away. Once the food came out they brought out a dish we told them to take off. Whatever, we just said we will pay for it, No water no utensials to even eat the food when it was out. Had to get them my selfs. Once all the food was out, we had to legit yell to get any service like napkins water and chopsticks multiple times. Bill comes out to 84 bucks. The service was so bad I tipped them 12 percent. The bill should have been 72 but we just paid for the extra dish they gave us by mistake. We are about to leave when the server runs over and said we didnt giver her enought. I thought my mistake must of forgot to include the tip. No no My tip was in there. She came back and said this isnt 18 percent where is the rest of my money...... I could not believe my ears. And waited for us to give her a bigger tip even though our service was so teriable. While we got more money to tip here eveyone one in the restaurant was waiting for service. Just terrible

Authentic Chinese food with friendly service. I love their smoky fish/xunyu and our daughter who is a picky eater finished her congyoumian. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Ohio.

The food was excellent, especially the soup dumplings and beef dishes, which were easily among the best I've had in the country. However, the service was disappointing. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated, but before we could even glance at the menu, an elderly lady rushed over to take our order. When we asked for a moment to look over the menu, she seemed irritated and hurried off, returning less than two minutes later. We ordered the soup dumplings, which came out quickly. As I’m not familiar with chopsticks, I asked for a fork, but the same lady seemed frustrated by the request. Waited awhile for the fork but she never returned so I had to eat them with my hands.

We also wanted to order another round of soup dumplings and the Pan Fried Beef Daoxiao Noodles, but despite trying to catch her attention, she ignored us twice. Fortunately, a younger, more polite staff member came over and took our order. When it was time to pay the $40 bill (which was very reasonable for Cleveland), I left a 15% tip, as per my usual practice—15% for poor service, 20% for average service, and 25% for excellent service.

As we were leaving, the older lady stopped my wife aggressively asking for a larger tip, claiming that the bill was $40. We had already tipped $6, which is 15% of the bill. My wife, had only a $5 bill. The older lady almost snatched it while my wife was going to give it, which meant we had given an $11 tip (27.5%). This is an unreasonable amount for such poor service. I understand tipping well when the service is good, as I’ve worked as a server myself, but this behavior felt rude and overbearing. Management, I get that you want to support your staff, but this is just inappropriate to your customers. We won’t be returning to dine in.

The food was delicious, but be aware that this restaurant only accepts cash. What really ruined the experience, though, was how they handled tipping. When we paid, no one mentioned anything about a required tip, nor were there any signs warning customers that tipping is mandatory.

My friend and I had exactly $40 in cash, so we ordered $39.96 worth of food. After we paid, a woman came up to us aggressively demanding a tip, insisting that we owed her $5 more. We explained that we didn’t have any additional cash, just $1 left between us. Despite that, she continued pressuring us and wouldn't let it go.

In the end, my friend had to leave and find an ATM while I stayed at the restaurant. We essentially weren’t allowed to leave until we gave them the tip. It was extremely uncomfortable and left a very bad impression, despite how good the food was.

In addition since I’m not sure how to reply to the owner’s answer : No one told me I could leave until I waited almost 20 minutes for my friend to come back with the money. The old lady didn’t ask for a tip, she demanded it in a very aggressive way, and she specifically asked for $5, I didn’t offer that amount.

Also, the owner never mentioned that the $39.96 total was before tip only before taxes.

I understand tipping is common practice in the U.S., and I always try to tip when I can, but in this case, we genuinely weren’t prepared, especially because your restaurant only accepts cash, which isn’t typical these days and wasn’t made clear ahead of time.

This whole situation could’ve been avoided with clearer communication from the start.

Wasn’t very sure when the person I was with suggested but I was down to give a try. We were definitely not disappointed in all areas. Food was excellent and much more variety than I originally thought giving menu a first glance.
The staff was amazing. They were well coordinated and I didn’t see anyone that waited for anything, Waitress dialed right when she quickly realized one of us was vegetarian. Pointed out the various options and was knowledgeable about the entire menu. Had a lot of fun talking with her beyond just courteous chat and enjoyed talking with the rest of the staff as well.

Cash only which I personally like. You definitely know it from the moment you step in 😂

We will definitely be back and recommend to everyone.

My best friend and I were really excited to try a new Chinese restaurant — we’d been looking forward to it all day. But unfortunately, the experience turned out to be uncomfortable and disappointing.

As soon as we walked in, the very first thing the owner said to us was, “Cash only.” Now, that in itself isn’t a problem we understand some places prefer that. But it wasn’t what she said, it was how she said it. Her tone came across as cold, almost condescending, like we weren’t welcome from the moment we stepped inside. It caught us off guard, but we chose to overlook it and sat down.

While looking at the menu, I asked about the difference between a couple of the soups. Before the owner could respond, my friend jumped in to help explain but when the owner did chime in, her response was laced with sarcasm, almost like a “duh” moment. She even made a dismissive hand gesture, which made me feel stupid for even asking. I started to feel really uncomfortable, like I was being judged for not knowing something.

When the food came, it was just okay not bad, but nothing amazing. But at that point, it was hard to enjoy because the whole atmosphere felt tense. We were still waiting for the soup we ordered, but noticed the staff kept glancing over at us in a way that felt more like watching than checking in. That made it even harder to relax.

Then something even more upsetting happened. A man and his daughter sat down at a nearby table. After looking at the menu, they kindly explained that the daughter had an allergy and they wouldn’t be able to stay. They left politely, but once they were gone, the owner began talking about them negatively to another table loud enough that we could hear it. That moment truly solidified how unprofessional and disrespectful the environment felt.

By the time we were still waiting on our soup, my friend and I had already made up our minds. We told the owner we didn’t want the soup anymore. Instead of handling it professionally, the staff member snapped that it was already made. I tried to respond calmly and explain our decision, but she cut me off said “never mind,” and walked away abruptly.

I had intended to let her know politely that as someone who works in customer service myself, I truly believe she could benefit from treating customers with more kindness and respect. But I never got the chance. Her attitude shut down any room for communication.

We paid the bill and noticed that a 15% gratuity had been written in by hand not printed on the receipt. It’s unclear whether that’s something they do for every customer or if she assumed we wouldn’t leave a tip ourselves. Either way it felt presumptive, especially considering the service we received. We still paid it and left quietly, but it left a lasting impression and not a good one.

Even as I’m writing this, I honestly don’t think the owner or staff would care about a review like this she didn’t seem like someone who values customer service or feedback. But this isn’t really for them. It’s for anyone thinking about trying this place. Your experience might be different, but this was mine and it left me feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and really disappointed.

the soup dumplings were blissful and transported me to a simpler time. We got two orders between the 2 of us and easily could’ve horked down 2 more. The chili oil was sublime and easily the best chili oil I’ve ever encountered. The fried Shanghai flat noodle was possibly the best noodle dish I’ve ever had. The bok choy and meat were the perfect compliments to the saucy noodles. The sweet and sour ribs were sweet and a bit gummy, also not hot. Overall very good experience and prices were phenomenal (cash only) will be back again and again. That’s a promise.
