Had a great time stopping into the bar here. Great food, great cocktails, and good service. My bartender Ameer always made sure I was taken care of and brought me anything I needed. Will definitely be returning!

I flew up to Cleveland for my cousins wedding and couldn’t have been more thankful for how well the staff treated us. We had a bartender named Ameer I believe who was awesome, and really brought great energy to the bar. It is people like Ameer who can make a weekend trip to Cleveland, Ohio memorable!!
I highly recommend The Maker Hotel!

I got the maple & miso salmon soba, and honestly it’s the best fish I have ever had. I am from the Pacific NW, so that’s saying something.

It is one of these places where you can witness the heritage of Cleveland's glory. It is grande and tastefully renovated. The dimmed lighting, the cosy sitting areas, the Crystal chandeliers, the marble on the walls, the opulence of the decor makes you on-board in a time and place that belong to history.
Special mention for Carissa's great cocktails, she made a special smoky and spicy cocktail on demand. Her friendly yet professional service contributed to make this moment special. We initially came to the Maker for a drink before dinner, we ended up spending the whole night here, with more good cocktails and food. Everything was great and perfect, we had a fun time there. We will return and spread the word.
The only thing we would improve is the sound system and Playlist!

There was some sort of youth dance competition in town which made the atmosphere quite chaotic and less than ideal. Our server, David, took our orders at the bar quite begrudgingly as if he absolutely hated his job and wished he could be anywhere else. My girlfriend ordered a vodka martini… our server David prepared her the drink, taking a mixing spoon off the unclean bar and stirred her drink. When asked if she wanted olives, David reached around into the fridge and grabbed a fistful of olives with his bare hand and threw them in her drink. She gets martinis everywhere we go and literally couldn’t finish this one because of how poorly it was made and the disgust at the hygiene of the bar area and bartenders. I ordered their Goldie drink, and it was awful. David didn’t measure anything, and just haphazardly added ingredients to a glass and slid it to me, spilling 20% of the drink in the process. Didn’t matter much, as the lemon juice seemed to make up 75% of the drink and I was unable to finish it. What should have been a nice, relaxing evening cocktail turned into a wasted $50 on unfinished drinks and awful service. Definitely do not recommend to anyone, ever. Try Marble Room and Society Lounge about 2 blocks away. Similar or cheaper pricing on drinks, and so much better quality from a drink and service perspective.

Gorgeous venue and atmosphere. I ordered the Cleveland Chopped salad and added salmon. The salmon was delicious and perfectly cooked. The salad was not the chopped salad that k was expecting, but mixed greens with Parmesan cheese, tomatoes, olives, and a balsamic vinaigrette. Still good, but not really a chopped salad. That’s the reason for 4 stars.

Dining room was lightly packed at 7pm on a Saturday for dinner with my son. The order was taken promptly by our waiter. However once the order was taken, I never saw him again for the duration of the time we were there. No check in for how the food was, no drinks, nothing. I had to walk up to the bar to request more water.
For a dinner that was over $50 for two people with only entrees and nothing to drink but water, the service was absolutely abysmal.

A fantastic venue. Extremely beautiful. The lighting through the large windows streaming through from the park are tremendous. On top of that the drinks are quite nice. Cocktail bar, not so much a whiskey bar. They used Western distillery and other local liquors! We only ordered a couple of apps, pierogies are always a plus. honestly, I'm not a sandwich guy but the reuben was pretty good! The caviar ricotta was interesting.
