This place has all the right Puerto Rican comfort foods. Even the octopus salad with was really good. I met Sula for the very first time and she is just the warmest personality like she’s always known you. But mainly I just want you to know that the yellow rice with gandulaes was banging like the Hilton Plaza Son!!! I had her put beans on top of it and even that was good. Plus the chicharrones was cooked to the perfect texture, soft and crunchy. If you can do soft and crunchy at the same time, you can do anything in the Puerto Rican kitchen.

Food didn’t taste good. Empanada’s old and hard. Pissed and embarrassed. Thought the food was going to be good and invited a friend. Now we wasted $32 and looking for food again. I will never come back.

We were greeted in a friendly manner by a wonderful young lady named Yessi (pronounced JESS-si). She assisted my mother with what the choices are. It was a nice experience, especially since I have also enjoyed the Rincon Criollo on Detroit. The service and the food alone will assure a return soon. I enjoyed my taste of Yauco!

I went there for bacalo and rice it was disgusting no flavor just oil…like super oily barely any onions no peppers no yuca no potatoes no nothing and the rice was just as flavorless a 0 outta 10 do not recommend

I normally come here all the time. Today I came and normally the portions are a bit bigger. I ordered steak per usual, and it’s usually good. Today it was EXTREMELY DRY, once I complained about it. The lady said that I couldn’t change my meat. Also she started speaking Spanish to the other girl that was there while I was complaining about the meat. Mind you they both spoke great English, and the stuff she was saying in Spanish was rude. (Which she probably thought I didn’t understand what she was saying but I absolutely understood everything 😉)
