I had Ordered chicken and fish and I only got fish 😠😡😤

Ordered the 4pc special at 2:38pm, received a text at 2:41pm saying that my order was ready. At first I was like damn, they must be busy and have batches coming off. I’ve been a Sous chef (Mabel’s bbq, sapphire creek, just to name a few) so I know how at times when service is going fast you can predict the flow to drop more (sand bag) which results in faster service. I get there and the store is empty, not busy, so I’m thinking ok… I asked her was this fresh and she says “everything is fresh to order.” Me knowing that I received the text minutes afterwards ordering I decided to not be a “Chef” or logical person and gave her the benefit of the doubt. I stay 5 minutes from the house so when I get home and looked at it and said “this is old” normally you can smell Sam sylks when you walk up, if have your car smelling like it, you don’t even have to be a chef to know fresh fried chicken can be smelt miles away. It wasn’t! Thought maybe my nose is stuffy but it wasn’t. The chef part of me kicked in and bit it and determined I was sold old chicken!!

I went Sunday to get food on lee rd. I have to say im glad I looked in my bag they didn't give me all my food. The taste of the food was horrible and when I ask for bbq sauce on my chicken they didn't give it when I ask for the sauce the lady tried to charge me extra money. Im not going back

Chicken wings were very salty. Bought one order got one order. Could not even eat 2 wings. Cut back on the salt please.

I was mad at yall for a minute. But i had some food yesterday from the lee rd location… And its was giving the old sam sylk when yall first opened🔥 food was so fresh yall

I ordered chicken wings for delivery and they were terrible. They looked and tasted like they were fried a day before. They were hard and may have been refried. Very disappointed!

I ordered a wing dinner buy one get the second one free not knowing you have to make it 2 of the same items which if it's a special when you order it should automatically add to the receipt so pay attention that's how they get over on people and like me I didn't add the second item so there's no free. SMH

The food is delicious. I wish the Staff was a friendlier.

Went to the online menu and it is outdated once I went into the restaurant. Time to update online

This is only today's review because usually my catfish is good but I don't know what happen today salty and didn't seem like the same catfish dinner. I try again and hopefully they'll go back to the regular cook and dinner. Loyal customer

New location at 6140 Broadway is TERRIBLE! Ordered Chicken & Waffles via Door Dash and they sent me a TINY chicken leg and small thigh that was old and dried up as if it had been left sitting out all day and my waffles were soggy and LIMP! Paid for extra syrup and extra butter, they sent me extra syrup and tartar sauce and ketchup that I didn't order and didn't need! How are you a Soul Food spot and you can't even get chicken and waffles right? If you can't do better than this, it's time to shut your Broadway Ave. location DOWN!
