Although I was hesitant on trying sushi in Cleveland, I found comfort and satisfaction at Sapporo. The owners are very kind and hardworking. There is a decent variety of sushi and other Japanese foods on the menu. The quality of the fish is good and is the best I have had in this city thus far. I have gotten take out here quite a few times, so I can say with some confidence that Sapporo consistently serves fresh fish. I see myself ordering take out from here again.

I went to this place for the first time maybe about a month ago. I got the Maki California Cream Cheese Rolls. Everything was perfect! I decided to go again today and ordered the exact same thing however, once I arrived back at work I noticed there was no cucumber in none of them (ordered 2 portions this time). I specifically prefer a little crunch to my sushi. I called to tell them they forgot to put cucumber in any of my rolls and was told that if you want cucumber you have to ask for it. Huh?! She then tells me she remembers me from before and I mentioned I wanted cucumber in it. You know what makes me very upset, when someone one, tries to cover their mistake as oppose to just saying, I apologize. Two, I hate when someone tries to tell me something I know didn't happen. I informed her, why wouldn't I have said I wanted cucumber if that's the way I ordered it the last time (especially when the cucumber is what I like the best)? Plus, a California roll is normally made with cucumber so why would I think anything different and, when that's how it was prepared the last time? I was just continuously told, if I want to add cucumber I have to mention it. I am very disappointed because other than this fiasco I really enjoyed the sushi. Yes, I could just ask for cucumber the next time I go but with some things, it's the principle. That's their loss because I truly don't mind spending my money on good food. I would not tell anyone not to go to this place as that's their choice. Just sharing my experience (customer service is very important to me especially when I'm spending my money with you).

If I could post more than 5 stars I would. The food was amazing, but the service was the best thing I've ever had. The owner Yun, is a joy to talk to and went above and beyond our desires. We ordered takeout and it was absolutely phenomenal I couldn't recommend this place enough.

I can't say enough good things about Sapporo, the sushi is simply exquisite, but the pork dumplings - oh do yourself a favor and order more than you think you'll want. They are that good. My wife and I just adore the food and even in take out, the rolls are presented beautifully and they are perfectly wrapped each and every time. Do go and support this amazing Cleveland gem.

Sapporo Sushi is hands down the BEST sushi you can get in Cleveland! I’m a sushi connoisseur and have tried several Michelin starred sushi restaurants in the country. I suggest that you order directly from the restaurant instead of using Grubhub. It’s usually quicker and you can specify your order way better.

I ordered for pickup during quarantine- was supposed to leave for Japan the day I went, so I thought picking up some Japanese food would make me feel better. I was right- the food was delicious and the staff was so friendly! I ordered cream cheese and cucumber sushi and vegetarian yakisoba, both were very good. The owner even gave me some miso soup on the side ☺️ I highly recommend this place!

Heyyy lets get into it!! I was on my daily run and LITERALLY ran into this spot. I tripped over a curb, caught myself (kind of lol) and took a break to check this place out! They currently are doing take out and I think post mates for delivery! I ordered some type of veggie roll suchi. Avocado roll I believe. WOW! Oh my I was shocked! Its hard to find good sushi. The taste really had me hooked so I ordered another * she says, not embarrassed at ALL*. No shame for the sushi gang. The employees here are extremely kind and will help you with your food needs!! (to my halal and or veggie friends out there). This place is currently following covid19 protocol and keeping things safe and at a distance! For those who would like to dine in later when this mess is over, It can get alittle smelly, Oil wise. It is a smaller shop. You CAN miss this place if you aren't looking hard enough. It is also surrounded by other local food spots but from what I could see most are shut down(covid19) Enjoy some take out! The Taste is out of this world and you wont be disappointed.

I was craving sushi during the COVID-19 stay at home order and was glad that Sapporo was still open to offer carry out. It's easy to place an order online, and when one of the items I ordered was not available, they texted me to ask if I would like to change it out with something else. The place is only run by a husband and wife (I thought maybe it was just the two of them because of the quarantine, but in reading other reviews that seems to be their normal staffing). As such, you may end up waiting when they are busy or get a lot of orders, but they were very sweet and polite as I was waiting and threw in a free order of edamame too. Not much else to say besides go see for yourself and support local business!

Ordered takeout again today. Fried dumplings yakisoba sushi. Everything perfect and delicious. Beyond the wonderful food the best part of this restaurant is the wonderful people who run. Always absolutely delightful helpful and quick. As soon as the pandemic is over done I’m at the place so you can have a chance to meet them
