Shinano Sushi Bar & Japanese Cuisine

Ate lunch here today and I was overjoyed. It's very hard to find an actual authentic Japanese restaurant in Ohio, and a lot of people seem to think a place is "authentic" and then I see Pad Thai (Thailand) or Bibimbop (Korea) or even General Tso Chicken (China) on the menu and my soul dies a little. Well, not so with this place. Japanese family owned and the food was absolutely delicious and took me back to the island of Okinawa! The sushi chef, a nice Ojiisan, even hand grilled the Unagi (Eel) sushi I ordered. So glad I stumbled on this place on my way to a work call I had, while helping in the Cleveland area. Highly recommended! Pictured are Nama Sake (Salmon), Maguro (Tuna), and Unagi (Eel) sushi (Nigiri). Agedashi Tofu, and Japanese Chicken Curry. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely go again.

I travel to this area on business for about one week a month. This is a Japanese restaurant that I always go to eat at least once. The prices are reasonable, and it's a pretty delicious Japanese restaurant in America.

Quantity and quality of food is lacking for the cost. Maki roll comes undone by itself. Salmon is not fresh. Chicken is a bit slimy. Honestly, nothing good about the food.

I go with my son once a week. Authentic Japanese cuisine with the beat service anywhere in town. Food is always so good. Solid family owned business- been the best sushi in town for a long long time

What a great experience! The staff was so welcoming and friendly. The menu is very extensive and has so many great choices that it's hard to pick! Service was fast and the sushi was delicious. Glad to have found a new go-to place. I will be coming back!

True authentic Japanese cuisine. I will most definitely be coming back. Staff was kind, food was great, and there is a lot left to explore on the menu. They also are one of very few places to sell dishes like Zara Soba and Goma

First time here, heard great things about this place. However, disapppointing. The Shrimp Yaki Udon has great flavor BUT I barely have any Shrimp for $20. I got 5 small Shrimp, not a good portion at all for that price. The flavor is really nice and light but the portion is not good for the money. The side is fried rice is very bland with no taste. Not sure if I'll go back.

Very very impressed with this place!! I am from south Mississippi, and I had never had Japanese curry. I had the chicken one, hot and it was absolutely amazing!! It was very similar to southern smothered pork chops in gravy!! The hostess was very friendly and very responsive!! I would comeback just for service alone!!
