The restaurant location is in not so good atmosphere. We ordered a $75 Sashimi plate and a bul-go-gi stir fried udon. The food was OKAY. Not exceptional. But they watered down the soy sauce and diluted the wasabi. This made the sashimi not so tasty.

Not my first time here, but first time here that they have been serving sushi and sashimi again. And let me tell you my taste buds have never been so thrilled that Sungs house has sushi. I tried the Yum Yum roll and it blew me out of the water. While you may need more than 1 roll for dinner its worth every dollar for how good it was. I will be back with a hunger with friends for certain

Ate there on a Friday night when they were getting ready to close. The seafood udon was awful, they put the mussel shells IN THE SOUP. Sushi was okay, I should probably go back before they close for the day.

How have I not been here sooner?!? This great little restaurant is absolutely what Playhouse Square needs! The prices are great and the location is even better. Heading to Playhouse Square to see a show? Once you park and enter the theatre area, you don't even have to go outside again. You can enter Sung's from the street or the theatre side. The food was amazing. We started with the Yakidori (chicken skewers with Yakidori sauce) and they were delicious. There were two of us and two skewers, so the amount was good. Our dinner entrees came with soup and salad to start. The miso soup was awesome and the homemade dressing on the fresh salad really made it all work. I got the Bulgogi (thinly sliced steak) and it came with white rice and steamed veggies. My steamed veggies were a little heavy on the onion, but I am not complaining! It was also great they took into consideration we were going to the show in the theatre that night so our food was served rather quickly. Our waiter wasn't the best ever, but the taste of the food really made up for it. We will definitely be going back!

Nice restaurant and good food. Good place to go prior to attending a play

We knew the Sushi was off the menu from the beginning, but a lot of the online menus wasn’t there either. The food was flavorful, but cold. Honestly disappointed! Not worth the money.

Looking for good food before a show at Playhouse? Go no further! Everything was delicious - highly recommend the noodles. A nice warm saki was the perfect start to a meal on a cold day. The service was excellent and you could tell everyone in the room was enjoying their food. Tip: make a reservation if it's the night of a show if you want a table!

We visited Sung's before Lion King with a party of nine. I am giving three stars because we had a nice waitress and timely service. A few of us had noodles with either chicken or shrimp and it was awful. It had zero flavor and it was over cooked and slimy. I won't be back.

They have great service, great food, and it's at a great price. They also give you a lot for the price. I'll be coming back again and again!

I've walked by this place for years but never got the chance to eat here because of the limited hours- until today! I got the bibimbap with tofu and it was incredible. Cool interior, great service.

Enjoyed lunch here today. Went with a friend on their recommendation. The inside of the restaurant was relaxing and decorated with posters from theater performances. Makes sense since this restaurant is in Playhouse Square. I totally expected the restaurant to just have counter service, and was excited to see that tables were open. We sat down and was immediately greeted and menus and water were brought right away. We ordered a lunch sushi to share as an appetizer. It was good and the fish was fresh. The dressing was good on the salad that came with it. Fresh veggies were in the salad. I've never had a dressing like this before. Yummy! We also ordered the lunch ramen. Excellent broth. My friend who frequents ramen locations, said that with the broth here, she doesn't need to add any hot sauce. Fresh veggies are in the broth, and weren't mushy. Loved it! Noodles were good too and there was a substantial amount of them. There was a good balance of ingredients in the ramen, but I would have liked to have the egg a little more runny. This is just personal preference.
