Had the fish and chips. The fish was ok. The fries didn't taste fresh. They were really thin and crispy like overcooked bottom of container broken fries.

Great location, ambiance, food and cocktails. We were in town unexpectedly and were happy to find this gem.

We were seated without a wait which was strange for how extremely busy they were but we'll take just drive 9 hours, we waited over 45-50minutes just for our burgers, with were dry and the fries were old. I hated having to yell to talk to my people, definitely not the scene I was looking for but worth a shot.

It’s always a fun time at The Fairmount! Food and drinks are delicious. I would recommend if you’re coming with a group to call ahead and make a reservation as the place is pretty much always packed in the evenings. We’ve done multiple times and they have both indoor and outdoor dining. The patio is very nice and dog friendly.

Our food and drinks were pretty great (possibly the best fish & chips I've had in Cleveland). My dining partner's burger was cooked to a PERFECT med-rare, but still had a nice char. And our sever was just the sweetest. It was too loud to have comfortable conversation, but I guess that's to be expected on a Friday night ??‍♀️We're excited to come back when it isn't so packed and loud.

This is a response to the owner's reply, original message belowOriginal Message:Brought me meat on my vegetarian entree twice! Definitely not vegetarian friendly. Left hungry. Two beers (that they made me pay for) on an empty stomach = no fun. Definitely avoid.Response from the ownerWe definitely apologize about the confusion on your order. I can understand being frustrated with an incorrect order. We spoke to the kitchen staff so this will not happen again. We took care of both your dinners would be happy to send you a gift card so you can give us another try.My first issue is the statement "We took care of both of your dinners." Really? I did not receive a dinner. I ordered food, you brought me something I didn't order, twice, I left hungry. How exactly did you take care of my dinner? What you are really saying is "we didn't make you pay for something you didn't order." How nice of you.Secondly, "I can understand being frustrated with an incorrect order." Can you? I haven't eaten meat in 30 years, I came to your restaurant and got sausage in my mouth. Do you know what that's like? Do you?The good news is you'll never see me again. Please do not reply to this message. You already ruined my night, now you are ruining my day.

Slowest service ever. Took an hour for appetizer, and it fine. Took another for the food, it was terrible. Randomly a lot of children. It was weird. A mess.

The Fairmount was able to seat us on a busy Saturday night without a reservation. That was a fantastic beginning to our experience. The restaurant has a fabulously diverse menu of drinks, including non-alcoholic options in a variety of categories. Entrees included many gluten free & vegan options with clear designations on the menu. Entrees arrived quickly and hot, except for the fries with my husband's fish and chips. He declared the fish the best he'd had since a visit to Ireland. My gnocchi with butternut squash, broccolini, and cherry tomatoes was delicious, albeit a bit heavy with such a large portion. Dessert was a big disappointment, an apple crumble with a non-dairy ice cream on the side. The apples were unpeeled, tough to cut and the flavor and texture of the whole dish was odd. Service petered off at the end with our server tending bar. Overall, a cozy and inviting restaurant and cocktail bar experience. Conveniently located near the medical center and arts district. 3.5 stars.

Great food and drinks. Service good. A little too crowded, but worth it. Will return.
