Went for the first time and walked in initially confused by the concept. There wasn't much to really describe how things worked with it being a market and a cafe-type place. I was looking forward to the place because it seemed like a good, healthy local option. The portions were large but the food wasn't all that good. I wasn't given any silverware and ended up just grabbing the to-go utensils that were available. Then I had to ask where to find the juice I order which proceeded to come from behind the counter and it was lukewarm... Food/experience was not the best and I won't be returning but the chef seemed very nice.

Are you a salad girl ? Well I'm not one to tell people where to eat salad but The Grocery has amazing Caesar salad!! The crotons are NOT crunch or nor will they tear up the roof of your mouth they are fresh baked bread and real anchovies!! This is a great place to get a good salad take a seat and get some work done! They also have som amazing breakfast the biscuit is to die for!!

Our new favorite breakfast/lunch spot. Their standard menu is great, but their sandwich of the month is particularly noteworthy. Jan. '23 featured the best Cuban sandwich I've had in ages and Feb. '23 boasts a re-imagined bánh mì that was out of this world. Great for dine-in or take-out, with friendly staff and great service. The Grocery is truly a must-visit. Highly recommended!Dietary restrictions: The staff has been incredibly accommodating about all manner of dietary needs! Whether it be gluten free, dairy free, vegan, what have you, they've taken care to make sure everyone can enjoy their food!

Found this great little place on Yelp looking for great salads. What a cool spot in the trendy Hingetown area of CLE. I had the vegan mushroom scramble and hash browns and wow - so good and flavorful. I am not vegan but the tofu in the scramble was packed with flavor and better than real eggs. The owner is just getting started and could use some advertising and marketing to get their name out as the food is great. We will return and promote this small local biz

PHOTOS attached to this review.This is a small grocery store and cafe on the base level of the Quarter apartments in the Ohio City neighbourhood of Cleveland and right across from Lekko Coffee shop.FRESH READY-TO-EAT FOODS -- As of 2022 (or actually, as of around mid-2021), they now have UnRefined meals for sale which is located inside a fridge in the store (see attached photo). UnRefined is a local meal preparation company (previously called " Prep Slutz) in Cleveland, Ohio. Instead of ordering their meals on their website, you can now quickly buy them here at The Grocery (pre-made and ready-to-eat).Besides UnRefined meals, they also sell breakfast and lunch to order and they have a vegan menu as well. They sell teas, coffee, and smoothies too.GROCERIES -- I personally would not do my grocery shopping here (because of the prices and limited quantity of goods), but for those who live in the area, this is a good option. They sell items such as spaghetti, sauces, oils, asian sticky rice, etcSNACKS -- There are lots of packaged snacks to choose from including savoury and sweet.PARKING -- Is terrible on Detroit Ave. so good luck trying to find a spot. I parked behind Lekko Coffee in an apartment complex parking lot.Although I wish there was an option for me to heat up my UnRefined meal that I bought (no microwave), I highly recommend the Grocery but beware, the prices are a bit steep.****- 70/150 total reviews in 2022- 548 total overall Yelp reviews- Reviewed on 27 December 2022

I had such a horrible experience here. I am actually in shock at the greed and poor quality of the meal I ordered. I ordered the, "Big Healthy Breakfast"... it was supposed to be served with two eggs and avocado on toast: I was served packaged guacamole and was only given one egg. I feel very taken advantage of, and the meal was truly disgusting. I don't know why anyone, serving breakfast food, would cut such corners like that.
