I see my review been bumped well me and my son went here on a night out the bartender which wasn't the original one he was much younger with tattoos he took our order and told us he was giving us a discount I just thought he was being nice but when he checked the receipt and saw we didn't put no tip for take out he said oh I see you left that empty first of all young man me and my son works didn't have a problem paying full price you did that on your own and it was takeout not dine in it made the wait very uncomfortable his whole mood changed when he gave us our food I asked for a bag he gave it to me but acted like he had a attitude which I didn't care that alone made the not tipping a good decision food was great the service was not the tip is do better in customer service

Wish we didn't waste our time or our money—we left feeling disappointed for throwing it all away on substandard “food.” The next thing we felt??? Sickness & concern for our friend from food poisoning! The following morning, dread set in as we realized that if our friend doesn't start to recover soon, dehydration might force him to the ER, which it did!
The only redeeming part of this experience was the waitress’s upbeat, kind, and friendly energy—though even the service was a tad slow in terms of drink refillsand remembering to bring other add-on items. The coleslaw literally tasted rotten, the root beer was flat and watery, and the replacement Dr. Pepper was hardly an improvement. The cornbread was dry and plain, the yams tasted straight out of a can, the meat less than good, the chairs were dirty and dusty, and the TVs were WAY TOO loud.
I could go on...literally.
Everyone was nice & friendly though so that's a plus!
The fried green tomatoes and sauce were pretty good-another plus. However, the negatives far outweight the positives which left us regretting that absurdly high bill—for what?
Disappointment & food sickness.

Took forever, food was horrible. I expected more flavor. Everything tasted like it was cooked in old oil and burnt grill.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! My wife and I got the rib dinner- the barbecue sauce had NO FLAVOR- the mac & cheese was terrible, along with the baked beans. The cornbread was WHITE?!?!? It was DISGUSTING, with no flavor as well. How you mess up cornbread is beyond me?!?! They are taking MAJOR short cuts and charging over $21 a plate! I don't mind paying but it needs to be ON POINT... the name has RIBS in it- all you taste is the smoked meat... not a bit of BBQ sauce- also- soul food?!?! This is CLEVELAND- we know how to cook soul food- GET IT TOGETHER

Ordered almost $80 on Uber eats and the restaurant missed 4 items and 1 item wrong. They didn’t give any of our 4 individual sides that were $7.00 each and I ordered sweet chili wings they gave Jamaican jerk. I was well aware that I needed to contact Uber but I told the restaurant I was calling them to make them aware so they could be more cautious at making sure peoples orders are accurate. In return all I got was a rude girl who just kept repeating call Uber eats. Well Uber eats didn’t forget to give the food. Now only 1 person of my house has their food. Terrible experience. And the fact the restaurant didn’t even care to hear my feedback is even more disappointing. I’ll never spend my money at this establishment again.

Ordered smoked beef brisket and mac n cheese they charge me 23$ for 2 burnt skinny slices of brisket luckily the mac n cheese was tolerable.. now I'll be able to make it home and cook something wit a stomach full of cheese already
I highly recommend The Rib Cage for late dinners. The food and the hours are the best in the area. I've dined in and gotten to go many times after 10pm when everywhere else is closed. I recommend trying the brisket with Carolina Mustard Vinegar or ribs with classic BBQ. The Sweet Thai Chili sauce is also delicious! For sides, I loved the yams, greens, slaw, beans, and mac and cheese mixed with sauce from the entree. The staff is also friendly and great at recommendations.

Great food but sadly, the bartender was so rude and unprofessional to me while I was there, and it made the rest of my dinner very uncomfortable. Please learn some proper restaurant etiquette, and how to treat customers. This was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had eating
Out for dinner. Loved the food but definitely won’t be back

I tired this place for the first time. Ordered in Uber Eats. Got hush puppies, Mac and cheese, and then the St Louis pork rib meal with fries and slaw ($26.00). Was VERY DISAPPOINTED! Never received my Mac and cheese. Uber refunded that. Hush puppies were a tiny portion and over cooked and nothing to dip with them. And most disappointing I got my ribs and there were four! Only four ribs for $26????!! If that’s the portion size place it in Uber eats. I would think that was a half slab at least. Go down Detroit to XYZ and you can get a full slab of ribs for that price and they will taste better. This place is NOT good. Again my order was take out… and I don’t get it all. But what I did was not good and portions a joke and not labeled online.
Good people, nasty yucky meat. Went here to grab some wings since I was looking for anything bbq in Cleveland and I was so hungry. I always love wings but these were nastyy. They tasted like undercooked fish and smelled like fish. Not joking I had multiple people in my friend group try them and they said the same. The batter on top tasted stale and the meat itself aside from the fish taste was oddly soft. Like when you boil meet that’s been in the freezer way too long. Fries also tasted expired and soggy. I couldn’t eat the wings even though I was so hungry, had to go to the burrito place next door to order food. Burrito was 10/10 next door.

Visited right before 11pm on a Tuesday. Nikki was our excellent bartender/server. She works Tuesday, Friday, Saturday.
We ordered hushpuppies, mini crab cakes, a soul roll (w/chicken - there's a meat free option too), wing dings (wings).
Unfortunately, sides were not available.
Everyday after 11 only French fries and slaw are available.
Monday-Thursday and Sunday kitchen closes at 12/Midnight.
Friday & Saturday kitchen closes at 1am.
Meat is smoked - excellent!! We ordered Jamaican Jerk & Herb Buffalo. Both were too sweet for my taste. Both were hot. I thought the wings tasted better without he sauce! They are smoked.
Soul roll is large and smoked flavor too.
The Sriracha sauce is a 10.
I didn't care for the mini crab cakes.
Hushpuppies are a 10, but I think they should be the same size as Long John Silver.
Overall, a 10. Definitely returning. Looking forward to trying the collard greens, fried green tomatoes and lots more.

The worst macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had. There was no cheese, no seasoning.. Yams good, collards need a little seasoning but pretty good. It’s so disappointing to get macaroni when the menu says macaroni and cheese.. I need to see the cook.
Dietary restrictions: They don’t use seasoning so health concerns of salt should be null & void.
