Cute place but thought being at the Tudor would be more. Ordered a taco salad and there was more shell than actual salad. Breakfast at the Tudor was really good though. Wasn't busy the night we went and still had to wait for service. Friendly but still had to wait.

Melissa served us a great lunch and paired drinks. Love the old building. Thank you, staff members for being friendly and helpful!
The service was slow but the server was nice. The food though...I had pasta primavera with seasonal vegetables, which meant a couple sad slices of zucchini and couple sad slices of squash. The sauce had this funky taste, like something wasn't quite right. I ate a bit but thenI just felt I was setting myself up for food poisoning. My partner had the same experience with a club sandwich, just tasted wrong. We'll be back in Cleveland soon and we will NOT be going back to this restaurant.

Good location near Little Italy and beautiful museum. However breakfast was terrible as a group was there and wiped out the cold buffet (we got there at 7:15 and it opened at 7). My wife does not eat from the hot buffet but took a cold English muffin sandwich from the hot buffet and could not eat it as it tasted terrible. The "24 coffee" was out but cold each of the two mornings. The manager refused credit for the buffet for one meal as we were charged for two hot buffets and told us to come back later after they restocked. We have stayed at this hotel in the past but will not return.
Stayed at this property one night while traveling for work. The hotel is on the outskirts of Cleveland so the area is not as live and vibrant as a bustling part of a large city, but I did not feel unsafe. The exterior of the hotel is definitely older but nothing I would consider run down. I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the hotel. Nice lobby, not fancy but nice, and an extremely pleasant staff. I had no elevator trouble during my stay. I did have to call an elevator attendant and used the elevator many times, but never had an excessive wait. I was also surprised at how nice the room was. It was very large by doubletree standards, very comfortable beds, and a nice shower and bathroom. I was quite pleased. And just for the record, I have stayed at multiple Waldorf properties, Beverly Hills hotel many times, etc… so I feel like I have stayed at decent properties for comparison. I am not trying to say this is a 5 star property, but it is definitely nice and worth a stay. Also, the food at the hotel restaurant was really good. Kudos to the Tudor Arms.

The hotel is architectually stunning, but falling apart. We stayed here due to a wedding at the venue. The positives are the architecture--it is described as Gothic Revival--the wedding venue was beautiful with details that you can find no where else. We stayed in a suite that was generously sized and featured a sitting area with 2 chairs. The view from the windows featured stone sculptures outside the windows. Had some of the best chicken tenders I have ever had in the bar. The negatives included only 1 elevator that worked and we gave up on it and had to walk to the 5th floor on several occasions (once after waiting 20 minutes). Also we had to change rooms due to a malfunctioning sprinkler system. Location wise--it's close to the Cleveland Clinic and University Circle. I don't anticipate staying here again unless I'm here for another meeting for wedding--Needs some major money invested in the building and another working elevator.
I stayed here for three nights this past weekend for a wedding. I was very glad about my last DoubleTree experience in Chicago this past year and was expecting the same standard to be met in this location- I was greatly disappointed. The exterior of this hotel has a dilapidated look. I get this is a historical site but try to keep up with the upkeep and slap a new coat of fresh paint on and do a power wash. The paid $20 per day parking lot is horrendous with tight spaces, broken pavement, and a falling apart/tilted card reader. I saw someone’s car get hit in the lot- the spots in the front are cramped, so avoid those spots at all costs. At the reception desk, you’ll find employees ignoring you while you stand there in the front thinking they acknowledge your presence, or you may see no one at all. They don’t bother to offer you the famous DoubleTree cookies unless you specifically ask for them. They fail to mention at check-in about their current elevator situation. Only one of the elevators are functioning and operated by an actual person- we talked to the employees and there’s like three shifts for people to man the elevators to take it up and down floors- they’re waiting on some part, and it’ll only be back up and running at the end of this year I was told. This is completely unacceptable, especially being an event venue and with so many guests staying and relying on the elevator- think about the elderly. I had to take 8 flights of stairs down in high heels to get to the wedding reception since I had been waiting for over 15 minutes for the elevator to show up to my floor to no avail. The rooms are fine and spacious with the exception of the loud housekeeping staff who are not professional at all and whom you can hear in the middle of the night and early morning yelling and cursing; initially, I thought this was the sound of rowdy guests, but when I was getting ready to leave one morning, I popped my head outside and saw it was a housekeeping staff yelling and cursing on the phone taking what seemed to be a personal call. On my last day there, around 9:30 am, my partner and I were getting ready to go to brunch when suddenly our door was flung open randomly by who I assumed to be housekeeping staff. No knocking whatsoever, popping her head in and looking stunned to see people. She didn’t apologize nor say a word and quickly closed the door. This was a huge red flag for us, so we immediately locked all our bags and put our most valuable items in the safe. Also, the free wifi is terrible and takes forever for the sign-in page to load; if you're trying to get work done here, don't rely on it and use your personal hotspot like I had to. This DoubleTree is more like a single tree, definitely not living up to the Hilton standard. I’ve never felt so fed up staying at a place like this with the elevator situation and unprofessional staff. I was here for a joyous occasion but staying at this dump made the experience quite unjoyful and uncomfortable. I do not look forward to choosing the DoubleTree brand in the future after this experience. Do not waste your money or time staying here.
Broken elevators 45 min wait at 10am in the morning the night before on arrival 25 mins then another 35 mins when the attendant just took off, after i said i was 1 min with reception!Well all it looks fine, on site, location yes is University and Gardens, but the worst part of it, industrial commercial and when arriving late in the evening, it’s a very dubious neighborhood. No restaurants or fast food within walking or a decent 10min drive. Not that this is the worst but its tired very tired, room was ok but not really clean had a make over feel. Worst the elevators - are Broken!! They have been for over 6 months, they use security to operate them to hols the button in! Can not use for yourself! YOU have TO WAIT FOR STAFF OR SECURITY, who are just unfriendly and totally disinterested. Fail. Trip advisor you need to downgrade this establishment, thankfully i had One night, that was enough.
Overall, the Tudor Arms is a very interesting historical place to see. The room we were assigned to needed some updates and repairs and it smelled strongly of smoke. The staff was very friendly and did a good job of making sure we had what we needed and gave us a little more background information on the history of the building. I'm glad we stayed (to say we did) but probably not one of our 'go-to' places when traveling through Cleveland.
Hotel is dated but staff and location make up for it. The shuttle drivers, Stacey Gina and James, were like tour directors with helpful recommendations and knowledgeable suggestions and just friendly people. The entire staff was very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable
