Charming, old world ambiance with understated, seamless service. The food was top notch! Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior.
This was our first time dining at Valerio's and we absolutely loved it. We ordered a bottle of Cab for the table, bruschetta special for appetizer, the pomodoro, bolognese, oriechette, and the mushroom veal. All were delicious and the best Italian we've had in Cleveland. We will definitely be back!
Off the charts fabulous! The entrees are wonderful! The eggplant appetizer and branzino fish are a must! The service is superb! Everything just flows effortlessly. You gotta go!
The food was served right out of the kitchen and was hot. The best linguini and clams I have ever had!
We love, love, love going to Valerio's. The food is outstanding, the owner and his family treat everyone like they are family, and the atmosphere is very relaxed and inviting. This is our go to place for date night and if I could afford it, every night. Reminds me of sunday dinner when I was a kid.
Same day reservations (3). We used the VIP valet which was very convenient. The food was good. We had a salmon and shellfish dish in red sauce, veal, and lamb chops. They seemed somewhat understaffed and the service reflected that. The space is tight and quite loud, but I liked the energy.
It's a very small restaurant but charming. There was a piano player in the front who added to the ambiance. Unfortunately, we were seated at a very small two-top in the back by the bathroom. That made for a lot of traffic and the scent of cleaner from the restrooms. The caprese salad was OK, mozzarella was plentiful and tasty. paper-thin slices of tomato and the merest drizzle of olive oil were disappointing. The orecchetti and sausage was very good. The chicken limone was a bit tough and average. We were not offered bread and later learned we had to request it. Excellent wine selection. The iced tea was bitter and when we asked to have it taken away, our server seemed annoyed and smelled the tea as if we were lying. They did offer to brew more, but we declined. When we made the reservations, it asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. This was my birthday dinner so I noted it. Nothing was said to us while we ate so I don't know why they bothered to ask. We were disappointed enough that we skipped dessert and just wanted to leave. This restaurant came highly recommended but it wasn't a great experience for us. Everyone there seemed to have a great time and enjoy their food so perhaps it's just us.
The food and service are both consistently great. By far our favorite restaurant on the strip.
One of our new favs. Authentically delicious food and amazing specials daily. You cannot beat the Gorgonzola Gnocchi. We get it as an appetizer every time.
One of the best experiences you will have in Cleveland or anywhere for that matter - food, service, ambience!!! Highly, highly, highly recommend!

love valerio so much & the gnocci is so good. cole is an amazing server, highly recommend!
Great place. I'm willing to put down some cash to bet this is one of the better places in Cleveland! Had a great dinner and enjoyed my drinks (the Aviator was solid) while watching the Cavilers with the crew at the end of the night. Cheers.
Beautiful food, impeccable service, fantastic experience. The tiramisu was the perfect ending to the meal!
Valerio's is one of the best restaurants Little Italy has to offer. It has a varied menu, friendly staff and pleasant, upscale decor, differentiating it from some others with dated, dark interiors. Their classic Italian menu includes some typical, reliable favorites, but also some more modern dishes and daily fresh seafood and other specials.
Valerio's is my go-to in Little Italy. Prior to moving from Florida to Cleveland, it was the only place I would frequent while visiting my hometown. The food is always fresh and the flavors are inspiring. I've taken a few ideas home with me and tried to recreate them myself. Most recently, I made an octopus appetizer for the first time while mirroring what Donte, the cook, brought out to our table. I have had some exotic meals in addition to food that feels like home (pasta, meatballs, sausage...the delicious Italian staples). I have never been disappointed eating at Valerio's. The employees are attentive and kind. It is always a pleasure to run into Valerio himself in the restaurant, too. 10/10!!
