Excellent drinks. Had a unique Old Fashion. Well made. Mixologist was very knowledgeable and helpful with my selection. The place is really cool. I love all the different rooms.

Came here for my friend’s 21st 4 years ago and loved it - they made the experience so special and the places was VIBES. Came back last weekend for her 25th birthday and honestly we need to stop using her bday as an excuse to go because we loved it even MORE. amazing drinks (blackberry Mule was so delish), staff was awesome (shoutout our boy TJ who not only made these bomb drinks but also took our photos like a PROFESSIONAL with his phone light and everything), and the place is still just as cozy and unique. Tons of rooms to explore and places to take pics. Start your night here!!

The ambiance is very nice!! Lots of different rooms to hangout in. It was a little confusing getting there, there’s a door marked “Vault Entrance” outside the building but that’s not where you enter. You go in through the hotel and down in the elevator. The cocktails were very good and service was wonderful. Unfortunately they did not have the charcuterie board or crème brûlée when we visited. I was not impressed by this. Instead we got the hummus platter, which came with a good amount of food. We were also not super impressed with their vegetarian options, they only had the hummus platter, and waffle fries that were vegetarian, and no markings to show what could be modified. We also got the Oreo cake and s’mores board. We had to ask for more graham crackers for the board as the original portion was disproportionate to the amount of marshmallows. Also, I appreciate flambéing the marshmallows at the table, but it leaves the tops burnt and the middle raw, I think it would be better if you bake them then bring them out.

This historic space is a unique and beautiful place to bring people from out of town to show a bit of Cleveland history while enjoying a high caliber cocktail. The atmosphere is surprisingly very relaxed: the space separates the bar area from the original Cleveland Trust private vaults which serve as rooms in which you can hang out with your group. Each vault is gorgeous and different, its like being able to handle a museum piece. While the entrance is a bit hard to find and may contribute to the Vaults hidden speakeasy vibe it's a really well designed space. Specialty cocktails range from $14 to $18. The cocktails are in fact fantastic and exceed the quality of the ones you can find anywhere else downtown. Each has a unique name with interesting ingredients, the bar tenders take time and effort making them and they're nicely topped with garnishes. If you're looking for a drink that is well balanced and artistically made this is a prime choice after a show at place house square. Their aviation is probably the best I've tried in Cleveland.

Interesting but strange decor place with reasonable beer price and very expensive glass of wine. It's nothing special, just a glass of Malbec = $20. Food was reasonable as we ordered Waffle Fries, Vault Shrimp, and Chicken Sliders. All ended up deep fried but they were good.

I went to vault after seeing nutcracker. While I was sitting at the bar waiting to order, the bartender spilled a full shaker all over me. He didn't apologize and I had to ask for a napkin to attempt to clean up my clothes. Unfortunately, my blazer is now stained with cranberry juice and there was no attempt by the staff to remedy the situation. We left and would not recommend.

Very expensive cocktails and terrible service. Walked in and sat at the bar, were waiting to order after a Playhouse show, and the bartender spilled someone else’s drink all over my friend. No apology and ignored the situation. Ended up walking out. Wouldn’t recommend going

Unique spot, good fun and atmosphere. Just be careful outside because street people are very agreeable and will get in your face if you do not give them money. Need to tighten up security.

Such a cool place! I haven’t been there for several years, I don’t live in the area. But it was such a fun memorable experience. Hope to be back someday!

An underground bar built into the historic vaults of an old bank. The bar is divided into a ton of small rooms and hallways with seating. Each one of the "vaults" is its own named room, and I assume they can be rented out by a party (and may not be available for general seating, if rented). Go early if you want the best Vault experience. It's easiest to see all of the gorgeous, historic detailing without loud music and tons of bodies in the way. ACCESSIBILITY: -Tons and tons of seating options. They have couches, bar stools, regular chairs, chairs with arms, egg chairs, and more. -A historic building, a few spaces (especially chair configurations) are a tight squeeze between objects. Most of the furniture isn't nailed down, so you could move items (though they're heavy) if need be. Main walkways are open and easy to walk through, but they might be tighter if lots of people are standing around while busy. -A lot of the rooms here are relatively low light for the "sultry" feel. The main walkways are large and open to reduce risk of tripping, but they aren't well lit. -There's no official dress code, but most of the people here looked "nice" (a few cocktail dresses, but mostly business casual). The vibe is honestly a good excuse to dress up. PROS: -This place is gorgeous. -Really, exploring the history of the place (and getting Instagram photos) is pretty much the main sell of the Vault. It's a really cool atmosphere, and the bar knows it. The vault doors are really nicely lit as perfect backdrops for photos, and they have full length mirrors around as well. -The staff knew a lot about the history of the place (which was awesome), but I can't imagine I'd be able to have as much extended conversation as I did if we had come during busy hours. -You can probably find yourself a cute, romantic, "cuddle" corner if you wanted to. Because the Vault is so winding with so many small rooms, you can take your drinks into a nearby room and enjoy some of the seating while being away from the bulk of the people. At least, that's assuming the place isn't too stacked yet. -Coming early, we had a lot more freedom of where to sit (and we went far away from a loud, moving-around party of people in a different vault), but if seating is low, I could see your experience being very contingent on the people seated around you. Most people here looked like dating couples, but there were a few friend groups around as well. CONS: -The official menu online on the website is not the current menu. I came prepared (and chose this place!) with a few drinks I wanted to find that none of them were actually available. The bar may want to update the online menu more often. -Drinks here are definitely pricey. They seem to be a bit more heavily poured than some of the previous review complaints a couple of years ago, but you're still looking at $15-$20 cocktails served in relatively small glasses. They are their own works of "art" (watching the bartender make one which included 8 different ingredients), but they can definitely feel pricey.
