We went to Wens with our extended family from Changsha, China. We were headed to the Asian Lantern Festival. Our daughter-in-laws parents are visiting the US and they LOVED this meal. If you want authentic Chinese, go here. It's a smaller venue, so don't be surprised if there's a wait, or you can call ahead for reservations.

Off the chart authentic Sichuan food. As good as anything I had in Chengdu. Easily the best chinese food in Cleveland!

Not going to lie, don't order Wen's Special Mix if you are Baizuo. The szechuan peppercorns will mess you up. Mouth and lips numb. Otherwise the ingredients are pretty nice. All the other dishes were amazing. It's too much of deep cut for Westerners to enjoy. Get the fried greenbeans. You'll be happy.

I got a chili chicken appetizer and a braised beef noodle soup.
The chicken came adorned with peanuts in a spicy sauce. It was arguably some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. It comes bone-in and there are shards so you have to eat with care. The portion was generous and could be shared.
The soup was also delicious. The broth was super flavorful. Personally, I would have liked more meat, but what I had was delightful.
The server was polite, though she didn’t speak very good English. I find that to be a positive. Very authentic.
The menu was in a chinese dialect with English captions. They even had an “American Chinese” food section. Turns out I’ve never had authentic Chinese food. I have now. AMAZING!

Food is pretty good, the service is awful. Waitress never came back to refill water or ask if we wanted anything else. She came back a while later with the bill, didn’t split it for us so I asked to split it. I tipped very low this time because the service was so poor and the waitress confronted me about it asking if it’s $1 or $7. She was pretty open about being pissed off. Not going back here now, there’s plenty of other restaurants with great food and service I would rather eat at.
Great portion, good spicy food. Love the braised pork intestines.
I know the chef personally and he is the sweetest cook in the world. He always accommodates whatever requests I have and his food tastes so authentic likes its from Beijing. Whoever I bring to this restaurant leaves soooo happy and satisfied. I recommend this Chinese restaurant over any other in Asiatown
Fantastic food - great service during dine in - authentic and made with care! Will be coming back! Great experience
Overall Wen's Kitchen to me would seem like a pretty good Chinese restaurant to eat at. The food here was authentic, delicious and flavorful, a good selection of warm and appetizing dishes on their menu to choose from. The staff here at this restaurant are overall doing a decent job, but it seems like that they're not listening to customers' feedback, as I encountered a mistake in our order as we requested a replacement from spicy Kung Pao Chicken to the non-spicy version, but they simply re-stir-fried the spicy chicken by adding some bell peppers to dilute the level of spiciness, and we feel like they are not being sincere to our request. The setting of the restaurant's dining area is overall pretty clean, however the restroom at this place is in terrible condition, very dirty and old, looking like it needs to be remodeled, which is one area of improvement that this facility. Another area of improvement that this facility also needs to work on is the parking lot at the back of the building where the restaurant is, as it is worn out with lots of cracks and potholes, and overall looks very run down, needing to be repaved.

They doing good food with care service and management good but inside need some work for feeling customers good.
Overall, I thought Wen's Kitchen tasted pretty authentic. I liked the beef tripe, I thought that was quite tasty. The spicy and sour beef slice soup was good but nothing too special. The shrimp + stir fry vegetables did not look like what was on the picture which is my only complaint - I wish there were some peas in it like shown in the picture, but the dish we got was still incredibly tasty and I liked it.
One of the best chinese food I tried. Little expensive after recent price change. But foods are delicious.
Wens really wets my whistle! The spicy popcorn chicken was a mix of peppery, juicy and spicy nugs, citrusy peppercorns and dried chilis that has me salivating writing this review. The star was the intestines and pickled radish casserole! This ain’t the green bean casserole aunt Debbie brings to thanksgiving! Wens casserole has sweet and smoky bite sized intestines that burst with flavor and melt in your mouth tenderness paired together with pickled oily veggies that ties it all together. Wens food warms my tummy and satiates my cravings. High recommend.
It took me more than 1 hour to get the food done.
