I honestly should have said something the first time.. but this is the 4th time that my salad was given to me with brown and black lettuce. As you can imagine, trying to pick through your take out order on lunch can be bad enough but not as bad as accidentally eating and tasting a piece of wilted lettuce. I’ll admit I got sick a couple of times in the past when the same thing happened. That should’ve been my sign to stop ordering lunch from here. The least they can do is give you edible food after paying $15 for a salad.

Went here with my family after going to the science center as a lunch plan. So to be completely honest everything was completely average. NOTE I got a chicken Cajan sandwich and there was NO Cajan seasoning on the sandwich so it was basically just a grilled chicken sandwich with mediocre taste. Only about half of the other 8 people said their food was good the rest said it was bare minimum taste. The appetizers were the best tasting here. Overall I can’t recommend this restaurant go somewhere else and get your moneys worth.

Went before a playhouse show and it just wasn't a good time. We were seated quickly but waited 10 min to be greeted and get drinks in. We put food in at the same time, it came out quickly but it was wrong. Server barely came over to check so we just finished our food. Would have like a little bit more service from the server. Very generic experience

We stopped in at the Winking Lizard while visiting from out of town and were immediately made to feel welcome. Our bartender, Kadence, was warm, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Had a great chat with the manager Richard as well. Great service and great atmosphere—we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

The manager will scream at you and call you a liar. This whole ordeal happened about 3 weeks ago.

Whatever time they say the kitchen closes, it’s actually 39 minutes before that. I waited on hold at 15 minutes til kitchen close until someone finally answered the phone at 15 minutes AFTER. So 30 minutes on hold just to be told the kitchen is closed. The manager argued with me and said I wasn’t on hold and that his phone was never ringing. I’ll show you my phone log bish. Don’t tell me I’m lying smdh.

Has to go all the way to Lakewood in down pouring weather conditions, just to get a half soggy meal by the time I get back to downtown.

Sure they comped the burger but it was really just not necessary to begin with.

District Manager promised he would send gift cards that never showed up, more promises not delivered.

The bottom line is that this location is poorly managed. Save your money if you’re downtown. Make the drive to flannerys, clevelander, or wild eagle. Too 3 downtown places for similar food with great customer service.

Our third time visiting The Winking Lizard when we come to Cleveland. Servers are always pleasant, food is delicious, atmosphere is fun. Will stay our go-to next trip to Cleveland.

We were visiting Cleveland from out of state and wanted to grab something quick well what we grabbed was just awful so still being super hungry and annoyed at this point we walked next door to the Winking Lizard and placed a to go order.The 2 lovely ladies at the front of the house were very nice and helped us order right away. Food took about 20 to 25 mins. The chicken tenders were perfect, got a side of Nashville hot sauce which made the tenders even better. The Bavarian pretzels were soft and warm with a great amount of cheese sauce. Wish we had gone to the Winking Lizard first like my wife suggested. If we are ever in Cleveland in the future we will definitely stop in again.
