Well…you have to go to the counter and get a menu, then stay there and order, then go back up and get your food. So…when I went to pay for the sandwich that was $9.95 but was charged $11.05 and the young man couldn’t tell me why. He called the manager several times with no answer. Yoder’s purposely overcharges ppl. WATCH OUT!
The sign clearly states that there is a 3% up charge for credit cards only, not for cash or debit cards. Naw, I’m good on this place!

Popped in for a quick breakfast snack while shopping nearby — glad I did! The place has a chill, plant-filled vibe with a clean setup and plenty of natural light. There’s counter seating for grab-and-go types and a separate dining room if you want to settle in.

The menu is surprisingly big — breakfast, brunch, lunch, you name it. I stuck with a breakfast sandwich since I overheard talk of longer wait times, but mine came out in about 10 minutes — totally fair.

The sandwich itself? 🔥 Thick, toasty bread, fluffy eggs, and legit thick-cut bacon. The onions had a unique flavor I couldn’t quite place, but I was into it. Only downside — prices are a bit steep compared to similar spots, and that $3 canned soda stung a little.

All in all, a solid stop for a tasty breakfast Sammy in a cozy space. Some dishes headed to the dining room looked straight off Instagram — can’t vouch for the flavor, but they sure looked good.

Waited inside for about 5 minutes before someone came from the back to greet me- he was exceptionally polite. While waiting, I observed the updates to the space it’s really cute.

Soul food is such a personal experience everyone has an expectation of what Mac n cheese, greens and yams taste like😉…I ordered the ox tails with Mac n cheese and greens and smothered chops with yams and greens. The meat was well seasoned- gravies were salty. The meals are served with Jasmine rice (white rice noted on menu- there’s a difference in taste). The collard greens were soooo salty that they were inedible. Everything else was just okay.

A lot of other reviews noted the food wasn’t seasoned enough; apparently salt was the answer as most items were heavily salted!

I hope the chefs figure out recipes that deliver consistent flavor. I’ve had the heavy salt experience with chicken and grits.

Glad the menu expanded to include soul dinners. This place has so much potential!

Online orders cost $2-$4 more per item versus in store ordering. No phone orders.

They weren't full, there were plenty of empty tables and they wouldn't seat us. They wouldn't even let us sit at the bar which was mostly empty. I won't be back.

Very disappointed by this meal. Both of our entrees were cold after waiting 25 minutes, they forgot our coffees and waters until the end of the meal and when I told wait staff our food was cold he gave an apathetic response. Do not waste your time here.

So I’ve been eating here for over a year now, I live in the neighborhood and the food is good but inconsistent. I usually order the same thing, the avocado, egg, and cheese. The proportions are always off and the sauce is the best part yet eat sandwich either has it or don’t. Now that’s OK. I usually just ask for more, but the final straw came today during dining in. They gave me raw chicken I had the nerve to try to get me to pay for another order Of chicken. Now I will say I did eat two pieces and they were OK but That third piece was completely unacceptable And had I gotten sick, Y’all will have a lot more to worry about than an eight piece chicken. He came down to how it was handled by the staff they did end up, giving us the chicken, but Their attitudes Towards the health hazard was completely Unprofessional. It’s sad because this place was becoming a black staple, but the owner has to change the way the business is conducted because it won’t go far With its representation. I also didn’t like the fact that condiments weren’t available on the table and were Almost empty. Staff is simply not doing their job and management is not enforcing it. It’s no reason why the tables in a breakfast spot should have nearly empty syrup canisters. I receive no apology for the raw chicken So I will be reporting this to the Board of Health. I do have pictures and my receipt and I hope that you guys are ready for the inspection because someone will get salmonella if it continues.

Food terrible, service terrible, dead bugs all throughout the restaurant. Will be filling with the health department. Also hear the owner, Mad, skips out on paying the maintenance people he hires. One star far too generous

Waited over an hour for food a pancake and French toasts. If yonder serves brunch then I expect for you to have a better system during brunch hours especially on a Sunday. Your kitchen staff suck the server was trying his best .
