I think this is not a nigeria restaurant, dude claiming to come from owerri imo state Nigeria, gave me a white rice mixed with palm oil as jollof rice. The plantains were not properly fried. To a non Nigeria, the food is tasty, but am a Nigerian from imo state, I cook too. I no when u serve me trash. I paid $28 for over season oxtail and a white rice mixed with oil jollof rice. Dude can check his trash, I trashed the jollof rice, cos he offered me another colored rice, I have to manage. As a Nigerian don't go to this restaurant, its trash.

I have called this place several times and have visited one time recently. I have been waiting for them to have their full menu in stock, but they have failed to do so so unfortunately, I have to give it a poor rating. The first time they said, we would have What you were looking for this coming week so I waited even though I could’ve went somewhere else I was excited about this location and when that week came, I went to the store as they told me I would be able to to my surprise they did not have what they said they would have. I called again as they told me to do so and then I was given a excuse about their vendor being out of town and some equipment not being there for them I was unsure what they meant by that. I was looking forward to trying this location, but I will not return unfortunately. I ended up driving about 30 minutes away from where I live to try what I wanted to somewhere else.

I ordered catering from Yum Village. Carsai and the GM (can't remember his name) were so kind and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and all of my guests raved about it being flavorful and unique. The portion size was SO good for a catering order. 10/10 would recommend.

When I went there the first time the were closed because they were moving to a different location. I called every week to see if they were open and I got an answer today. They currently have a small menu until they're fully open. I had the Jerk Chicken Bowl with Jollof rice, Jerk Chicken, Sweet & Spicy Plantain, Ginger-curry Chickpeas, hot peppers and Buffalo Jerk sauce. This bowl was amazing! The flavors did all kinds of beautiful things to my palate. I can't wait to try some of the other interesting items on their menu. The guy who prepared my bowl was attentive, courteous and friendly.

Confusing to find. Original spot says it's to the right but it's actually at the corner with an old coffee shop sign still up. Says open but the door is locked?? They put a sign up saying they reopen at 6pm. They didn't even reopen at 6pm.

Very rude people and bad service
Very unprofessional I was there on Saturday and he charged my friend 14 dollars and me 20 i went back in and he wouldn’t give me my money back, the price on the menu literally says 14 dollars why the hell was I charged 20, I gave him 20 waiting for the change and he just took it from me no explanation “it’s a 20 dollar bowl”

Some of the most flavorful food I have ever had in my life. This place will have you daydreaming about chickpeas (of all things) for months afterwards. I went back for the chickpeas and decided to splurge on the oxtail and I was blown away yet again. Yum Village taught me that every so called "jerk" flavor I've had in my life was a lie and opened my eyes to the truth. They could use more beverage options, but the food they serve is top tier. They seem to be in the midst of streamlining their menu down to meat and rice bowls. I recommend letting them take the wheel in making you a bowl and trying everything they offer, just be sure to get the lemon jerk sauce on top.

The restaurant was like a chipotle style walk through. After reading the menu, I was very excited to try it out. After arriving and trying to order, they only had like 30% of what the menu offered. They were out of everything, including the vegetarian option which is what I went there for. The rice was hard and crunchy. The guy absolutely drenched my bowl in barbecue sauce. The atmosphere was weird and uncomfortable. They didn't have any sides at all. Their sauces weren't on ice. The employees seemed confused. The pricing was not transparent at all. The menu has one price of $9 but I got charged for $14.50 for rice, chickpeas, and plantains. I was really disappointed with this experience. I hope this restaurant gets it together.
