Walked in here after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed at all. The Khadijah & Tatiana took such good care of me. I had fried chicken & fried catfish with creole corn and candied yams. I usually add hot sauce to my food but this plate needed none of that. Dessert was the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. It was a little sweeter than I like but it was the bomb. Next time in in Cleveland I'll be back. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

This is for real Black excellence. Our server was Chareeka, she worked the entire floor. She knew what each person needed before asking. Her attention to detail was amazing. The food was 2nd to none. The decor speaks love and empowerment. I am so thankful we visited. We will be back!!

I really enjoy the food at Zanzibar. It comes out hot and fresh each time. I would recommend for the downtown location of maybe adding a kids menu. There’s a lot of family events that happen at RMFH and it would be nice to stop in before or after with the kids. I know that might not fit the vibe but feels like a missed opportunity. But other than that I love coming here. Make sure to get the Kool Aid and the house potatoes.

Food was Delicious. Some of the best this chef has ever had. But the customer service provided by our waitress was short, inattentive and lacking of hospitality. Really showed no desire to serve and provide hospitality. Her only concern was related to getting a large tip. You’ll get that tip only by providing the service and hospitality. Maybe some more training and growth for this employee may help her. She did seem young.

Harold was our server. I don’t know what was better, the food or the service. Everything was fantastic! The soul rolls were so dog gone good! We also had fried catfish, sweet potatoes, Mac and Cheese, wings, salmon. It was just amazing! Go eat here!
I went to this restaurant for my birthday 🎈 The experience was terrible ,the waitress took forever to take our orders. We had hunt down our server , then it took a long time to receive our food. Waitresses told us there was only two do please be patient. I watched people that came after us receive their food and leave before our party. The restaurant ran out of chicken breast, the cook came out of the kitchen to make servers aware of that. Finally the manager was sent to our table, there was another person’s birthday at our table she received money off her meal I didn’t, because she was the one that asked for management. Waitresses told us after of this, that due to parties they had that’s why we were put on hold. What did she not know we were celebrating two birthdays at our table we had flowers balloons and cupcakes. She knew it. The food was ok, but side dishes come in Gerber baby food portions. I did like the setting and music playing. I try to support small businesses but damn this what you usually get smh!! I should have went to the cheese cake factory for real for my favorite restaurant.

Atmosphere 10/10 ! Customer service was 10/10 wish I remembered my waiter he was excellent!!! Food was excellent 8/10 everything was great except the scallops potatoes. Wasn't expecting the texture of the scallops potatoes to come out like that, but other wise everything was great. Ohhhh and another thing please serve unsweetened tea for those who cant have all that sugar!!!! Lol Otherwise, If you are in Cleveland and you want some soul food with a twist!!! This is the place to eat at !!!!
