Generally, the pricing is a bit better than Nick's, but honestly, I think breakfast gets you more bang for your buck.

Solid French toast. If you like flavored coffee try the coffee with Chantilly cream.

Place is awful and the food is trash. Service was lousy and very slow on a weekday. Place screams out hillbillies. I would not recommend and will advise others not to go here either!

There were five of us eating there on a Saturday night. Three of us had food that was overcooked. Dry chicken with the Cajun carbonara that had no spicy flavor at all, overcooked liver and overcooked roast beef on a Philly sandwich. Some of the food was not correct and some was forgotten. Hopefully this is not an indicator of how the restaurant normally functions. Definitely a not so good first impression.

Smaller menu than previous ownership. (Previous ownership was Nick's All-American Cafe). More expensive now than before.
Still a nice place and a little upscale.

This was our second visit since the new owners took over earlier this year and our first since the new menu was released. We were really looking forward to some new options on the menu. After looking over the new menu we were excited about many of the entrees. We selected the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and the Pot Roast Platter based on the server's recommendation. Unfortunately, the excitement ended there. When we first sat down, our server took our drink order: a beer and an Old Fashioned. She seemed puzzled by the Old Fashion order when a specific bourbon (that we saw on the shelf behind the bar) was requested. After saying she was also the bartender, we were concerned. Nonetheless, we waited for the Old Fashioned. And waited. And waited. It was not busy in the restaurant. Our server seemed to only have two other tables. After 15 minutes our food arrived to our table, but still no Old Fashioned or even a mention of it. When I canceled the drink order she seemed relieved. The Alfredo sauce was extremely disappointing. Imagine thickened milk, and this was the "Alfredo sauce". Not a hint of parmesan cheese, no spices; it was truly one of the worst things I have ever eaten. The broccoli was clearly frozen and not seasoned. The chicken was dry. I had a few pieces of the penne pasta but couldn't eat anymore because it was drowning in the "sauce". I would imagine a hospital could have done a better job at the dish. The Pot Roast was very tender and the grilled veggies were good. Unfortunately, the meat was over salted making it almost impossible to eat.
Following the restaurant on Facebook, it seemed that this husband and wife team was really excited to begin their first venture in the restaurant industry and wanted to build relationships with existing customers and welcome new ones as they start fresh. Our first visit shortly after they took over we saw both of them standing behind the bar interacting more with the wait stafff and each other than any customers. We were a little surprised that they weren't walking around asking patrons about their meal, etc. On this last visit, the owners were sitting a few tables over from us eating with their family. With several other tables filled with customers near them, we thought that each time they'd get up to bus their own table that perhaps they'd speak with customers, or even offer a friendly smile. Nope. There is not the typical "front of house" hospitality that nearly every other restaurant in the world has. Not a single person (including our server) asked how our meal was. Even after she cleared the plate of barely eaten Chicken Broccoli Alfredo.
Before leaving, we placed a carry out order of Pretzel Bites and Spicy Italian Sandwich. The Pretzel Bites, as you can see in the photos, were overcooked and very hard. To add insult to injury, once we got home we found that the cheese sauce (which might have given the burnt/hard pretzel bits a fighting chance) was not in the to-go box.
Based upon this experience it makes it very difficult to recommend Bistro 4.0.7. I hope they are able to make it work as Cleves needs a good sit down restaurant.

A cozy place we enjoyed with the family The staff were very friendly and took our drink order as we sat down. We all ordered different dishes, and everyone seemed to enjoy the food. I ordered the grilled Cod and the baked potato with the grilled veggies and it was all very delicious! The fried pickles were very tasty and the Greek salad was plentiful!
