“My wife and I enjoy visiting small, local wineries. Sycamore Lake is a fine example! Their facility is clean, large, comfortable, and well laid out. There is a nice outdoor area though the weather did not permit us to sit outside on this visit. Unlike many wineries in this area, SL has a good representation of both dry and sweet wines. We prefer dry and were delighted by their Chardonnay, Reisling (0.5% residual sugar), Baco Noir, and Marchal Foch varietals. The latter two reds were a nice surprise because this area is not known for tasty reds. They also have a simple snack menu which is individually prepared and reasonably priced. It is well worth a trip though keep an eye on your GPS because it is out and away from any town.“
