It was interesting. It's not the worst bar I've been in but a super small area for concerts. I'm really just mad they ripped me off with a "fast pass" when there was literally nowhere to actually utilize it. Watch for scammy things like this.
Parking: Behind the bar is a paid parking lot. Not horrible location wise and had security so that was nice.
Kid-friendliness: Mediocre. It says kid friendly, but be prepared to just be smashed in a small area with your kid.
Had a great time seeing Ruby Waters! Had the BEST slice of pizza while watching the opener. We had such amazing amazing time.

Concert was great. Just different to see if you're short and the pillars are in the way.

It was good for what it was. The water they offered was pretty musty, so I would have to bring bottled water next time if possible.
Kid-friendliness: We took our kids both under 13 and saw a singer they both love. It was great for that. It wasn't over packed and it was a good experience for all of us.

I cannot remember the bartenders name but he was a Browns fan and had longer hair. We stopped in before the Underoath concert at Kemba on 9/29 and he was very kind and offered a lot of good conversation. He really set my night on a great path.

Had a great time at the show I attended! The security to get in was super efficient. There is plenty of room around the stage so you can get a good view pretty easily. They had a nice patio too- which stayed open during the show allowing a for nice breeze! My friend and I had forgot ear plugs, but luckily when we asked the staff, they had some extra which was great!!!

Can't see the stage, patio doors weren't open far enough to see band from outside. Weird bar setup that takes up a ton of room and effects show size etc for no reason. Also they don't take cash? You're a dive bar; charging 8.50 for Budweiser. Have a draught system just it isn't functional. Just a terribly run place lmfao
Dietary restrictions: Mikey late night cannot accommodate much
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp and same floor bathrooms

Saw Blacktop Mojo here on the 23rd of July. Didn't try the pizza but I did get one large Mango Cart beer that came out to about 15 dollars. Seems a little steep if you ask me. Those are stadium/major event prices, but it was cold and good. The sound was decent but the pillars that other people mention are a pain so you'll have to get there early to try and get close to the stage for a good view. Front of the stage is only accessible to about 8 people. I see vents for AC but I don't think they use it since the doors were open all night. Got robbed on parking. Had to pay 22 dollars for a spot in the garage across the street due to other events also going on in the area. Do your research and buy parking in advance online and you'll save some money. All in all though, I've been in much smaller and hotter venues and this one wasn't that bad. I had a good time, and if the right bands play, I'd go back again.

How about you guys quit lying that the wifisfuneral concert was actually played because I can’t even get a refund due to the “show went on in our records” second time now horrible venue
Drove over 4 hours for a concert here and the venue canceled it. Didn’t tell us till we got there at the door.
I did a lot of research into the A&R Music Bar before determining whether or not it was a good venue to drive to from out of town with my daughter to see Middle Kids and Gordi. I am glad we went! To begin, the chief complaint--the pillars that block your view--is legit. It is the worst stage placement of any club I have been to in quite some time. However, we got there early and were first in line about 6:00 for a 7:00 doors show. Eventually 8-10 "quick pass" people were allowed to move ahead of us, but we still got in and quickly got positions in the front right up next to the stage. The staff was friendly, all the people we met (both local, and others who traveled), were also really kind. Was a great all-ages show, with tons of teenagers and small kids. I would recommend it, if you get there early. You don't need to arrive before doors open, but if you get there late you risk having to stand somewhere you can only see part of the stage.
Parking: Paid parking lot across from the baseball stadium was $5 for 12 hours, so a pretty good deal and felt safe.

We spent $$ for the VIP pre show meet & greet, which was great. However, afterwards, there were only 3 or 4 hi-top tables with chairs IN THE BACK OF THE ROOM, so our group of over 65 year old ladies who couldn't stand for 2 or 3+ hours couldn't see the stage after the general admission crowd entered. Also the concrete pillars blocked the view of the stage. The bathroom situation was ridiculous- very long line for 1 unisex bathroom. Please, at least put VIP patrons in chairs and at tables IN FRONT of the stage and general admission patrons BEHIND them. The best I can say is that Avi Kaplan was fantastic & the pizza was good. We were very disappointed in this venue.
